Guys, seriously, c'mon. The loss of TooSkilled's thread was due to a bug when merging old (redundant) threads. I'm working on sorting it out now, and I'll have a link to it in the OP here when finished. Also, the front page link will be fixed. We're not maliciously trying to "censor" people here, just removing the off-topic posts. Give me a few more minutes, the bugfix/modding/coding thread will be back.
Regarding the issues recently with Mojang and PayPal, we've heard this back from them:
The Mojang Team is aware of the problem and working to refund money to
everyone who purchased through PayPal, but didn't receive the game. Refunds
will begin in the next 24 hours. We will be emailing people through their
PayPal email address to let them know their payment is being refunded.
We, at Mojang, are really sorry for this issue and are working to remedy the
situation through refunds.
We'll keep this updated if we hear anything else regarding the matter. In the meantime, please try to refrain from making posts on this subject, as it's a known issue on Mojang's end and we've already relayed as much information as possible back to them. Thank you.
edit 1: Everyone that has experienced this issue recently should start seeing their refunds coming through. For the time being, please wait on trying to repurchase the game until the issues have been resolved, at which time we'll update everyone on the matter.
Soldier of Fortune was a standard "modern" FPS. But it was terribly realistic, in terms of damage done to the human body. If you shot someone in the leg enough times, you'd blast that part of their leg off. Same goes to any part of their body. Enough headshots, and the head (or part of it) came off. It wasn't an advertised part of the game, it's just how it worked.
As for Splatterhouse, it was a TG-16 game that was focused purely on gore. Your character even looked like Michael Myers. Fun stuff.
Ok folks, the troll has been escorted from the building for a while. Let's get back on topic, shall we? Also, please, calm down with the flaming of either side of this issue. We're simply posting their statements, there's no need to get into flame wars over it.
The switch was thrown (by Notch), massive dance music party funtimes by all of Mojang, and we all headed out.The switch was thrown (by Notch), massive dance music party funtimes by all of Mojang, and we all headed out.
We're still waiting. Looks like it should be soon, though. There's a giant "Active Minecraft" wooden sign with a switch under it in the stage. Aaaand they just now announced "any minute now".
