The city had been warned three days prior. Return the orcish war general, Rasghul, or we will sack your cities. Little did they know, the general was already interrogated and executed. For the best general in the Orcish Legion, he sure did crack quickly. They knew the size of the capital, the villages surrounding, and the general information of how to end the war. But first, they had to defend against the raid of the Orcish generals.
The captain of the guard, Igilies, stood atop the wall overlooking the oncoming force. The catapults were ready to aim, the knights ready to strike. They donned their chainmail and awaited twenty meters from the wall. Longbowmen on horseback were going to swarm from the back of the soldiers, heading from the nearby mountain. "They won't even get within the city," Igilies said.
As the opening party began the assault, the catapults flew into the crowd. About a third of them had fallen. As they were pulled back for reloading, the guard stormed through them, hacking and slashing. The first wave was defeated, while the longbowmen were only a few minutes from flanking the army. Knights were dragged back to the inside of the wall, while doctors awaited the wounded. Catapults took a shot into the final, and biggest, group. Only about a sixth fell, but the longbowmen were in position. The Orcish Legion traditional armor had many weak spots to shoot a arrow through them. They began firing, and they started to drop like flies. Not before they hurt the remainder of the guard. They had repelled the invasion, but they had been weakened. Could they stand to another invasion like this?

Watching the human mind can be a beautiful thing. So fragile, so innocent. Or sometimes, the mind is vile, and hopes for the destruction on all mankind. Some say there is no middle ground. Some people are wrong.
That is where someone like me comes in, to get rid of the trash and the weak. If someone pays the right price, I'll do their bidding. Being a contract killer with an office in an alleyway isn't very delicate to the eyes, but that's the way it's supposed to be. The office where people meet me to hire me, and the armory in the back. People know where to find me. What, do people expect a giant neon sign saying, “CONTRACT KILLER IN HERE! COPS, ARREST ME!”
The office consists of my desk and a vault in the back with all my weapons. Rifles, handguns, sub-machine guns, and other wonderful tools of choice. I sometimes collect trophies of hard kills. The gang boss's golden handgun, the police chief's badge. I remember the blood getting everywhere in his home..took forever to clean up. No evidence can be left behind, and to make sure, I had my chemists developed me a spray that I can spread all over a murder scene to get rid of all DNA. Took quite a few people to shoot for that one, but it beats the bucket of bleach.
The last time I made a kill was one month ago. Business has been slow. But today, strolling through the door, came a new customer.
