Personally I am using Avast and it hasn't triggered on the temporary dlls.
While I am certain that my DLL is not a virus - and I trust twall's JNA libraries. I recommend that you make sure that your download of MumbleLink has not been tampered with.
Be aware that DLLs are potentially highly dangerous as they provide lower level access than Java itself would allow.
Also note that there are viruses out there that will infect DLLs and other executables.
Enough of the scary talk. You probably really just experienced a false-positive. To my knowledge the only way to remedy this in the future is to inform norton that this DLL is "OK" or exclude the temp-folder from norton's scan path (really not recommended!). However since the name of the DLL is only temporary and will probably change each time you start Minecraft the only thing they can go by is the hash. I don't know how norton generates that "File Thumbprint - SHA", else I would give you the correct hashes to compare against.
Thanks for the quick reply. I redownloaded MumbleLink.jar from SourceForge and cleared my "excluded file IDs". It seems like this is a false-positive and I've sent Norton a request to review the file. I find it odd that it triggers Norton 360 as it never tirgerred Norton Internet Security.
Regarding the mod, if player A wants to hear player B attenuated postionally and directionally, and both players are in the same Mumble channel, do both players require the MumbleLink mod? I'm supposing so but I haven'T had the chance to test it out yet.
It seems to trigger a (hopefully) reputation-based false-positive with Norton 360. I've currently exempted it but is there any way to prevent this form happening in the future?

Material loss while crafting something is common. I suggest receiving six stairs instead of four with the current recipe. A reduced loss wouldn't be a bad solution in my opinion.
I'd like to be able to place pressure plates on the bottom of blocks. I believe the button is sufficient for the side of blocks. If you think wooden buttons are hard, try shooting arrows in a tripwire above you. Much harder if you don't aim properly.
That hurts my head. At the beginning, I thought the different gems would influence enchantments differently, but they all serve the same purpose. No support.
These new gamerules are awesome and very powerful, but I'd like to see a couple more to help with more detailed adventure maps.
/gamerule spawnmob [mobname] [chance]
Would control the chances for a particular mob to spawn, mobname being the entity, and chance being 0-100. This could be used to saturate certain maps with a particular mob type, or to stop certain mobs from spawning. This could be used for a Zombie Apocalypse style map, for instance.
/gamerule durability [true|false]
This would control whether or not items degrade in durability in the game. This could be used in 'RPG' style maps, where you might acquire an item at a certain place in the game, and it would be intended that you have it permanently.
Perhaps the mob spawning one could be integrated in the existing gamerule?
Perhaps certain gamerules should have the ability to be applied across a server and/or per player. Mob spawning and time freezing wouldn't work but the others could be used in conjunction with the command block. I might elaborate later.

I like it! It would match the way many existing potions are made.
