Also, for future reference, on the bottom left hand of the screen it should give a key to what buttons do what for a particular spot or item. Example being, having the AXE in hand, pointed at ground, "Square" button is Crafting, "Triangle" button is Inventory, and R2 is Mine. Basic controls, but R2 and L2 are the buttons you will use the most. Just pay attention to the bottom left corner key/guide, and it will always answer the controls question. :-)

posted a message on Enchant List ?
If you are wanting to read the Glyphs, then that will not happen. All the Enchantments are completely random, therefore knowing what they are is unattainable (unless you want to spend the time deciphering the runes.). The only thing that is helpful is knowing that the more you spend on the enchantment, the higher the level of the enchantment. Hope that makes sense!

Wow.....KissyKaede sounds like she should be a PR person for the PC version. We get it. The PC is a billion times infinity better. And according to you, because of its infinite size. I started this thread because I wanted to know peoples opinions on what they like the best, and what they hate about both versions. Obviously size is going to be one of them. I love the console version. If anything, its a starter and warm up for the PC. Will it be totally, and utterly different? Yes. Will I have to re-learn how to play the game? Most definitely. But who says that my gameplay experience through console is any less then yours?

Rant over, so can we please go back to having an educated and adult discussion about this? Or will this have to be flagged for deletion?

A Nether Portal made from 10-12 obsidian takes you to the Nether
An End Portal found inside a Stronghold takes you to The End where you can fight Enderman and the Ender Dragon as well as mine End Stone
Two different portals, Two separate dimensions.
Blaze Powder can only be crafted from a Blaze Rod
Blaze Rods can only be obtained from Blazes
Blazes can only spawn from a Blaze spawner
If you have no more Blaze spawners you have no more Blaze Powder,
I too used to destroy spawners, then I just started standing 14 blocks away and let em come.

Thank you the detailed response! Much obliged.

Hi everyone! My husband and I were trying to figure out how to do game invites? More importantly, would it work if say, I was in the living room, and he were in the bedroom? Our son wants to play with us all the time, so we figured why not all of us? One room would have the split screen option, and the other person would be invited in. Is this possible? How to do it?

Thanks for all the replies people! I truly appreciate them.

Also, I'm sure we all can be adult enough to be able to post on topic, or have a civil debate over topics and differences. If not, well then I hope that this thread would be deleted, because if we cant band together and enjoy the differences in each others game play and experiences, then we shouldn't be talking and discussing on forums designed to help each other.

Hi everyone! As everyone can read, I would like to know the pros and cons of the PC and the PS3. I know PC has more, and way better beyond compare of console gaming, but why? What does the PS3 have that the PC doesnt? Im looking into getting a set gaming computer (Not my current laptop, to many hard drive issues in the past) specifically for MineCraft and other games. Please remember, I am not asking for bashing. I love my PS3, and would never bash anyone for playing on something else. Well, maybe except the Xbox, and only if we are good friends. Lol.

I know there is a section where you are able to show off your creations. I dont see why your world cant be one of them. Download though, I think thats a little far into the tech world on PS3 right now. Great idea though!

Adjacent to my question, I'm also wondering: if breeding is possible for villagers, then what is and what isn't possible on console?

When you mean breeding by villagers, are you meaning the NPC villagers? Otherwise, you yourself can breed the animals. This is how I did it with mine. (I was curious, and did it just because I could)

Step 1: Make a fenced in area with a gate
Step 2: Grab some wheat, and hold it in your hand
Step 3: Find your animal, (What ever you wish out of the current available animals. Chickens will only respond to wheat seeds though, so keep that in mind)
Step 4: Lure your animal into your pen. (Walk slowly, and backwards if possible. I have noticed that the animals will get disinterested if you walk to far ahead of them)
Step 5: Lure another animal of the same type into pen.
Step 6: With the wheat still in hand, place your cross hair cursor over your animals. You should be able to use L2 to put them into "Love Mode".
Once that is done, you will see them with hearts, face each other, then (what looks like a) kiss, and then boom! Baby animal.

This is all I have been able to figure out so far. Hope it helps.

posted a message on Are Worlds the Same?
    Hey everyone!
Quick question for anyone who can answer. My husband and I started playing Minecraft though the PS3 a few days ago. A lot of my questions I have been able to answer by Minecraft Wiki, but this one I cant find.
We both have our own worlds in Survival. I spawned near an NPC villiage, and he spawned in the jungle. My question is, if say, he was able to find my location in his world, would he be able to find the same materials as I do? I found a really sweet mine cart system not far from where I built my house, also near the NPC village. If he found the same mine, would he see the same exact things I did, and find materials in the same locations as I did? Or is there a randomizing algorithm with each world created?
Thanks in advance for anyone who is able to answer!
