posted a message on Map Extensions?

One of the newer updates was that you are able to change the size of your world (Classic, small, medium, large). Husband likes to play a larger map, but the issue is that you get lost on the map because once you hit the parameters of the map (same size as classic) you become a dot. He had an idea that if you make more maps, and then open them when you get to the end of the one map, it would continue on to the new map so you dont get lost. Is that legit thing? Would it work? Any ideas on how to not get lost (Beside torches lighting the way, but lets face it, that becomes confusing after a while) on the regular map?

My husband just told me about the Wither Boss. The 3 headed skeleton that you make out of 3 wither skulls and soul sand. I looked it up on the WiKi, and the thing looks and sounds brutal. Has anyone tried building one yet on console? Or is it still only available on PC? He is going to up his XP so he can enchant things he needs, and get prepared to take this thing on, which can take awhile. We just want to know if it won't be for naught.

posted a message on Pumpkins: Like Melons?
Ok, well thanks for the reply, but that does not make any sense to me. At least not fully. I have had pumpkins in the hills before. That was the only place I had some. Now, I have pumpkins near a village, and I have not found any melons. My husband has found a melon (By trading or actual melon, he honestly cannot remember), but he does not have pumpkins. Anywhere. He has trekked that map up, down, and side to side. Not a single one. He has also been trying to find chests for possible seeds. Still no luck. So did he just get a seed (map) that did not generate pumpkins?

I know that melons are able to be found in and near the jungle biomes. I also know that not every seed will generate melons, so it makes having melons that much more difficult since you have to go searching for seeds or villagers to trade. My question is, are pumpkins the same way? Meaning, that some seeds will not generate the pumpkins?

You'll need 4 blocks of iron and a pumpkin.

Now when you say "Block of iron" are you talking about freshly mined ore, or the true block of iron ingot?

How do I spawn an iron golem? This is the first I have heard of them.

My 5 year old son loves to play Minecraft either by himself, or with me/dad. When he plays by himself on his own set up, we have him in Creative mode. That way he is able to build whatever he wants, and not have to worry about the creepers exploding on him. Thats also a suggestion in case your child ever wants to just do some Zen building.

    Hey everyone!

I was just curious as to what could have happened to my villagers. I have one village I would frequent for trades and what not, and now they are all gone. It was a decent sized village too. Another village only has one or two houses, and theres only 3 villagers. I read somewhere that if a zombie gets into the village, they can infect and destroy the whole thing. Can I get villagers to come back? Is there a way to mate the villagers? Expansion on them (more houses, fields, etc) possible or even beneficial? T.I.A for any help and insight on this!

Also, (Husband brought this up) You will be digging for a while? Or will it be easier to dig down from the spot (He was doing this while I was reading it to him) and use ladders?

Are you using a Looting enchanted sword to kill your Endermen? They're a bit rare in the overworld, so I would recommend it. (Looting increases item drops.)

How to I guarantee a looting enchantment? All I have been able to get is Projectile Protetction, and Protection. (Various levels)

Also, do they float? or do you loose them in the trees and water?

    Hi everyone!
Ok, I get that you need the 12 Ender eyes to activate the portal. Also another 1 to throw to get the location. Well, for S's and G's I threw one of my 11 I had. Just to see what would happen so that way, when I did have everything (Ender eyes mainly) I knew what to expect. I just saw the eye, and the pretty purple flower things, and that was it. No floating eye ball that I had to follow for the location of the Stronghold. Was it because I didnt have enough eyes? Did I do something wrong? All the videos Ive seen are the person is usually flying, (creative mode, or whatever) and they just follow the eye ball through the air. Do I have to keep throwing some to keep the effect? If that is the case, then how many eyes do I really need?
