posted a message on Stupid things you have heard people say.
So i heard some stupid things today and i figured i might as well revive this thread rather than make another one.

Some girl was talking about macs in my history class and some kid interjected and told her they are overpriced. She flipped **** on him and kept trying to explain how they are the "fastest and best computers you could buy." I just sat in the corner slamming my face on my desk knowing that you can't win with computer illiterate people.

I was also in my computer science class today and a senior that is apparently a great programmer was talking to my teacher about how apple made the first touchscreen phone and how everyone else just fed off of their success. I told him how that was not true and he insisted that he knew more about the subject than me.

Another kid told me that he was going to make a custom pc case mod and that it was going to be the "quietest case evar." I said cool and asked him what he was planning on doing. He told me that he was going to take a normal case and completely cover the outside with sound dampening rubber and then coat that in sound dampening foam. I asked how the case was going to exhaust hot air and he said that he wouldn't need to because he was going to do liquid cooling. I asked if he was going to have an external radiator and he said that those are "stupid and don't work." I then asked how he was going to exhaust the air from the internal radiator if every surface of the case if covered. He said it wouldn't and walked away.

Is that choice in Middle School? If so, I can't wait.

Most high school don't even offer those courses so i would say no but you never know.

Thanks for the reply. You have a pretty good point. I still have around 70 days left so I may wait a bit and see what develops.

Wait until you have about 5 days left and see if the price drops any on the 680 or if they come out with a better card with a better price:performance ratio.

But I can't afford Photoshop or Illustrator :(
Does GIMP or Paint.net work well for making good banners?

I don't own either but my school has almost all of the adobe products.

    :o
    What software do you use?

I used illustrator for the letters and then imported it to photoshop for the textures. I wanted to add some shadows to it but i couldn't quite get it to work right.

For the regulars, yes, for everyone else, mostly no.

Most of the people on this forum are regulars except those random stragglers that don't know how they got here lol I never would have guessed that most of these people were below 15 if they had not said it.

Eh, I wouldn't call the majority of members on MCF "mature".

    In this sub-forum i would.

I'm glad this community is full of bright young people, who also use proper spelling and grammar. Congrats to all of us young ones (I'm 13)

I could never go back to ROBLOX. *looks back in fear*

That is the one thing that i thought was strange about this forum. Most of the people that are frequents are below the age of 15 (I'm 17) and yet they act like they are older and more mature. I don't think you could find a more mature forum with this young of people anywhere else.

Congrats man! I did think the fact that they said the i5 has lots of memory and space sounded strange but cool nonetheless lol
