I just want to see the consoles updated to 1.8 equivalent. It sucks not having what the PC game has. I am hoping that because MS owns MC now we'd get rushed updates to catch at least the XB1 and 360 version up to the PC game but it seems like they're content with letting 4J take their sweet time.

If we're talking about non-PC features I'd like I agree with above. More glass items. Stairs, slabs, doors, etc. It'd be a start. How about an option for long pieces? It'd make building go much faster and they could allow them to be either broken off in full chunks or 1x1 bricks. Make options for stuff like increments of 5x1 or 5x5, 5x5x5, etc.. I'd like clouds to interact with structures so for those of us who keep clouds on it doesn't look silly to have them float through tall structures, etc.. I'd also like different shades of water (swamp, lake vs. ocean), etc.. Make the maximum ocean depth and sky height adjustable to upwards of 1000 blocks. It'd be pretty fascinating to be able to explore truly deep oceans and make really tall structures. Also, include more wildlife. Birds, fish, whales, bottom feeder crustaceans, underwater seaweed, that sort of stuff. I'm really surprised there aren't birds yet and just having squid in the ocean is pretty boring. It'd be nice to see a variety of sea and air life. It'd make the world seem much more alive than it currently is. I'm sure I could think of much more but eh we won't be seeing any of this most likely so not worth getting worked up over. I can dream though.

edit - Also, make time flow of time adjustable. I'd like the option for fast time or 1:1 with the real world. Also maybe make adjustable gravity? Or another Nether-like alternate world where it's low gravity moon-like or heavy gravity super Earth. Really different worlds.

Yes, yes, yes!! +1 EDIT: NO... to the more animals. Why: Because that would decrease the number of other animals in the game.

    1. Boat that doesn't break. If it does, then it only breaks like a minecart... Intact.

    2. Less water in the worlds. Most have far too much water.

    3. My previous suggestions: Glass Stairs, Glass Slabs, Glass Doors, (exclusive to console) and Stained Glass. Also Diagonal Powered, Detector, Activator Rail. (just like the Festive World when the regular rail goes diagonally. Bend the other rails like that)

    4. Glass Pressure Plate ... maybe? Glass Minecart. ?? Glass Boat.

    5. A Chair and/or Couch you can actually sit in/on.

    6. The option to turn off the rain/snow in game ... both in creative and survival.

    7. Chocolate cake (Cocoa Beans + Cake), Hot Chocolate to drink. (Cocoa Beans + Milk + Sugar), and Apple Pie (Apples + Sugar) All of which you can place on any side of a block.... underneath, on a side of a block, and the regular way of on top.

Technically, these need to go in the Suggestion forum. Which I will go and add to. :)

Perhaps when you were using an Anvil to combine enchantments, you didn't use a Book equal to or greater than the Enchantment already on it. For example, you need a Sharpness 1 Book and a Sharpness 1 Sword to make a Sharpness 2 Sword. Sharpness 2 Book + Sharpness 2 Sword = Sharpness 3 Sword... And so on to Sharpness 5. It doesn't go any higher than Sharpness 5. Read up on the Minecraft wiki to check the highest levels of enchantments before you do enchanting. And if you are unsure, in game it'll tell you if the enchantment will be applied and if it'll be higher when you try to combine in an anvil.

    When traveling in a minecart...

When you place a minecart down on tracks, push it a little then get in, the position of the player in the minecart is correct. Or if you launch yourself horizontally, say from a button.

Upon even further testing: When you place a minecart down on a track that is going up or down for a few blocks, you sit way down in the minecart... which is wrong. I feel like a little kid in the cart who can barely see over the lip.

Not so much a deal breaker, but this is quite annoying.

    Problems with The anvil:

I used an enchanted book with a sword. The XP I earned was used, but I did not receive the enchantment on my sword... nothing. Awesome. I just used xp and a really good enchanted book for nothing.

Not a problem, but I am annoyed that the rare drops from mobs that give you broken items. (bow, sword, armor) Oh boy, another red bar bow! and another... and another... and ... ... garbage.

Chest Lids do not close all the time. The only way to close the lid is to go back into that chest and then exit again.

(this not a major issue, but I wanted to point it out in this ongoing list of bugs)

    1) The spawn rate of mobs is terribly slow when from spawning from a monster spawner. Standing around within the 16 blocks, (the skeletons for example), seem to spawn not as often as they did before. This makes the mob drop almost pointless. Not to mention all the previous posts about the blaze and their spawn.

    2) When traveling in a minecart... look around, see something different? You are now sitting way lower in the minecart and cannot see over the cart itself. Take another look in third person.

Edit: Upon further testing: When you place a minecart down on tracks, push it a little then get in, the position of the player in the minecart is correct. Or if you launch yourself horizontally, say from a button.

Edit #2: Upon even further testing: When you place a minecart down on a track that is going up or down for a few blocks, you sit way down in the minecart... which is wrong. I feel like a little kid in the cart who can barely see over the lip.

Not so much a deal breaker, but this is quite annoying.

Easy. If you want to cheat... CREATIVE MODE. Start a new world, on creative, use the Eyes of Ender to find the location. Also try using the TNT viewer to see underneath the surface. Done deal.

posted a message on How do YOU prevent Trolls/Griefers from wrecking your world?
Easy. I mean it's easy to stop griefers.

    1. Know who your are playing with. Start a Bullsh_t world, invite them in. See how they play. Listen to them. If they are dumb... goodbye! Those that last the whole time you play... maybe, just maybe, they might be the good ones you are in search for. (likewise for that matter) The older the better... usually. Hope this helps. Hit me up if you want a mature player. -K

So I am new to the XBox ONE version of Minecraft and am curious what kinds of things people who run servers do to prevent their worlds from getting tore up too badly.

On the 360 it was as easy as quitting and then restarting the world and you would only lose the time from your last auto-save. On the XBONE it auto-saves all the time.

My only thought was to turn off auto-saving while I am (host) online and do manual saves with my phone as a timer every 30 minutes. Any other ideas?

    Easy.

Ahhhh sH_t! Love it! Made me LOL! Survival on hard is the only way I play. Yet, something tells me that my enormous build will have to be on creative... what a bummer. There is just too much dirt scaffolding, too much torchin' it up, and no one eager to challenge themselves with me.

I'd like Glass Slabs , Doors and Stairs , I have a sky map that needs them . PC doesn't have them at the time of this post.

Some content pulled forward would be lovely .

Yes, PC doesn't have the glass .... etc. I've heard the console edition wants to be different. Well... here ya go! Of course... once they get all the cool PC features we are missing. That list is forever long. But glass slab, stairs, doors, would be nice. Diagonal power rail too! (like to travel NW instead of north than West, for example) This still can be done, but what a pain in the a--!

posted a message on Suggestions for Biome Placement, Map Blending seen in PC/Mac MC, and Option to Limit Unwanted Biomes
    Quote from ElderStatesman»
I would strongly suggest Mojang make these improvements to all console versions of Minecraft. Including the Xbox One Edition, that I currently own:

    1) The worlds built with any given seed should have biomes that make geographical sense. Where the biomes that are opposites in climate are not haphazardly mixed together. Such as winter biomes mixed in with jungles or deserts.

    2) For the larger worlds in Xbox One Edition (and PS4), when placing maps of the sectors of the world together on item frames, the maps should blend in to create a full-size map not confined within an item frame. The PC version offers an example of how maps can be used to give a better perspective on the worlds generated by Minecraft.

    3) In the world generator menu, players should be given the option to limit the kinds of biomes they do not wish to see in the particular worlds. Allowing players to limit mushroom islands or swamp biomes in favor of the others before the worlds are generated. Giving players a greater degree of control over how their worlds look like instead of building upon worlds they have no control over the creation of besides entering a seed.

Having these new features can give so much depth into an already great game!

I like it, especially #2 and #3! Also, moving the ocean level down is another great option to have. I support this. +1

Pets should only bark or meow when there are hostile mobs, (aggressive mobs), near. All the constant noise from them is ridiculous. And no, I am not turning off my sound.
