Dude, in Minecraft 1.3.2 you can place wood sideways :D
Dude, he posted on June 19th, 1.3.2 was released August 16th (exactly four weeks after he commented), your comment is invalid.

So, is Forge required for any of these?
Only the forge versions, you can download the modloader versions if you prefer that.

Hi koopinator good mods, I have an idea for "key rotation" that ladders can be placed diagonally like in this picture:

    what is your opinion?
There are no ladders in that picture...
But if you meant stairs, like what's depicted, he's planning on making sideways slabs connect the same way stairs do, giving them a similar effect to sideways stairs, if you place them correctly.

1.4 has the potential of making the SH maps much easier as far as resources go: Since infected villagers spawn naturally and through spawners, they can be found in the maps, albeit slightly rare. Once you have weakness potions and golden apples, you can cure infected villagers. You can trade with the cured villagers, and if you have at least two, you can make a house complex so they start producing more villagers and even iron golems to populate the houses. Unlimited iron, unlimited trades.

I took it down earlier today; there was an issue some people were having with the game flat-out crashing when slabs were interacted with in the inventory. Working on better Forge support for all the mods now so a new download should be out soon enough.
You should try adapting the base class editing mods into coremods, so that they don't need to edit the base classes anymore.

I think I might have missed it, sorry. One idea I've had is to have the slabs form corners on their own automatically (like the stairs)
Personally, I like this better than the vertical stairs idea.

    Quote from Steelflame

Alright, no problem. This does actually bring up a sort of opposite problem though. Cases where you want the exact opposite of a vertical stair, for when you are building with the vertislabs and have a need for a corner in a case like this...

    _0
    X|

Where the lines are verti slabs that are placed on the X block, and the 0 is thin air. If you wanted to place just a single little piece there.... well, you cant.
Well, if the corner updates work like koop's idea, this won't be a problem at all, since they would form outer corners in stead of inner corners.

You usually want the slabs for some fine detail work, and that would go against that at times.
I can only think of extremely few cases where that idea would go against fine detail work, so I still think that would be the best.

Do you still have the original version of sea of flame? if so would it be possible to download?

And btw you are awesome at making these maps
Click one of the links (I bet Vechs will prefer the first (adf.ly) link, though)

You can't use MagicLauncher to launch Forge-based coremods directly, you have to out the jars into the coremods folder. (At least, I think that's the problem...)

Waking up link problem: when you get to the "not available" page, replace this part of the URL: vTp2u8XvG
    With: XNAVIEEDuL
    And there you go!
(Found it through Vechs' public SH fileswap folder, which he gave links to in the OP)

Need a link for the recipes! (A nice PDF file, preferrably!) I googled what you said to on minecraftdl and got here....

edit: well, it was a thread on Better Blocks....
It's in the screenshot section of better blocks + items (note that the mushroom recipe was Koop not being aware it already was a shapeless recipe, the cake and cookie recipes are shapeless, and the log->charcoal is just to show the new texture of charcoal)

Here's something for the Texture Patches section: Love and Tolerance - with Sprinkles

If someone wants a patch for a certain texture pack, let me know (preferably give me a link to the pack), and I'll see what I can do.

BTW, copying every single tool/weapon sprite from the Forge spritesheet to the individual modloader files was a PAIN. (And, I noticed you had a duplicate sprite in metal rods for modloader: woodensword_+ and woodsword_+, of which woodsword_+ follows the samte template as the other wooden items.)

Not sure if I've already said this, but thank you very much for being such a helpful poster. Between the testing reports earlier and all of the help you've dished out (before I've even had a chance to read certain comments, sometimes), you've done a lot of good here and I'm really, really grateful for it :)
No problem, it's just who I am, helpful.

    Quote from Koopinator
On a bit of an unrelated note, if you have any interest you should definitely try your hand and making a few mods yourself! I bet you could make some really solid stuff based on the persistence, attention to detail, and general know-how you've shown here.
I have assisted in the making of some mods, but due to complications with JDK, lack of time (this is the most crucial point...), and due to me not being very familiar with code (just small portions), I've never sat down and coded a mod of my own.
Besides (rest is spoiler'd to shorten the post a bit)
I'm more of an artistic person, have made lots of pixel art for mods: Ali4z' Wireless Redstone, Chicken_Bones' WRCBE, AssassinCraft, MineLittleBrony, Nether Update/Expansion, and some small mods that I can't really recall the name of. Also models for Nether Update/Expansion and some small mods.
Plus tons of requested skins (though I usually delete them a month after it's completed, so not many to show ATM).

An example of a model I've made, in an attempt to improve minecraft's spider (it was supposed to be a venomous spider in the Nether, but then cave spiders were implemented in vanilla, and we decided to scrap the mob):

Note: This is not technically a finished product, as the mob was scrapped from ' class='bbc'>NExpansion before the model was 100% completed.
Note 2: Due to the extensions on the head, the eyes would follow the player's movements in stead of the entire head, this was also intended to creep out the players a little :P

I enjoy your mods very much and I was wondering if and when the Slime Spansion mod would be updated for 1.3.2

Also when using the Forge mod along with Better Blocks & Items a small bug appears: the top texture of the pumpkin is replaced by the charcoal pic of your mod, I'm hoping you can fix this easily because I use both mods alot.
The Modloader versions of these mods are bound to cause texture issues with Forge. Just wait for the Forge versions to update.
