    Uh, does anyone know if there's a way to remove a focus from a wand? When I make a new wand, if the old one has a focus on it, I can't get it back and put it on the new one.

    Wow, I just installed this mod again for the first time in a while. I forgot how great it is. All the blocks look great while also being useful and practical, especially the dishwasher, rubbish bin and washing machine. :D

    Wow. Last night I did a good several hours playing a fairly new survival with the new version. The new research system is a bit hard to get a hang of, but overall I like it way better than the old one. It's way more fun, more thought needs to be put into your next move, although since I'm not particularly good at planning it out, I'm almost always low on Aer, but I have an air crystal cluster to regenerate it.

    ALSO, I found a bit of an oddity. Quite frequently, my air crystal cluster stops regenerating my Aer (as in, the glow icon next to the Aer icon disappears, and the Aer never comes back), and I have to break it, recraft it and put it back for it to work again. Is this normal, or a bug?

    I don't play Survival that often (since I can only run non-superflat very well on another computer), so I can't really do much with Thaumcraft but play around with it in Creative (so I get bored kinda easy), so YAY FOR NEW FEATURES!

    I don't see why that's inevitable though. I wouldn't be confused if it was just another thread saying "look I found this new feature" but you said it was something inevitable... which doesn't make sense. Unless you were already aware of normal zombie babies riding chickens. But zombie pigmen riding chickens was added at the same time.

    ...Yes. So? They are additions. They are features that do not exist prior to them being added. You could also call them changes. Regardless, they're still new/changed pieces of code that aren't bug fixes.

    All major content added in 1st (RARELY 2nd) update. 3rd will generally feature very minor things (command block features), and all the rest are bug fixes.

    What you see for 1.8 so far is all there will be.


    I can't recall any a-snapshots that are solely bugfixes. There's always at least a small change or addition in snapshots. Heck, 1.7's final snapshot added Chicken Jockeys.
    Oh, 13w48a is only bugfixes.
    But 13w48b adds rainbow sheep. :P

    Are you going to add the asymmetrical + jacket/sleeve/pants layers to the human male texture template? I would love to be able to have asymmetrical NPCs.

    Also, suggestion: What about a "Combiner" role? Basically, when you pick the role, you press Edit, and in the editing options you can pick up to 10 other NPCs (that are nearby) for the NPC to combine with into a different NPC, and there would be a button, "Combined", and when you click it, it opens a list of NPCs with a button on the bottom. The NPCs list would be "combined forms", and the button on the bottom would create a new NPC that you can edit and pick a model and size and texture for as if it was a normal NPC, but when you close the editor window, it just adds it to the "Combined forms" list, and you can pick it for the combined form of the NPCs.
    In the Combiner role options, there would be a "reason" option, where you can pick under what circumstances the NPCs group together and then turn into the "combined form." It could be sighting an enemy, or being attacked, or attacking, or protecting teammates, stuff like that.
    When the circumstances are met, as I implied already, they would all run towards eachother and group up and when they get close enough, the "combined form" appears and the NPCs that form it disappear. You could also pick a line for it to announce when they combine.
    And the combined form could have its own role, too, like a bodyguard or a boss.
    I know it's kind of a strange request, but I cannot describe how much I would adore a feature like that. It would be great for a boss battle.

    I don't think automation is horrible and terrible and cheating and stuff, but I do think it's better to get resources on your own. For trivial things like food, I guess it's better to have an automation, but for iron? Gold? No thanks, I'll go mining.

    You don't have to overreact like that. IMO the game is more fun when you don't just sit around and wait for iron ingots to float in on your manmade river.

    I hate to do that because it takes forever to redownload everything, and almost all sounds download incomplete. Plus the reason I think this is happening at all is because of an incomplete file.
