Yes, a flying farm would be awesome, that's actually a great project!

You just craft coins from nuggets, they will consume exp when they are made. One single nugget per coin. The chicken farm is doing fine, yes they do need "fresh air", but i found that one open block to freedom is sufficient for the chickens. :) I'm just in a constant worry that the farm will randomly die, it has happened so many times, either to mobs or overpopulating ...

Oh I just remembered that the chicken coop also got this open door which also serves as freedom, but I really think that just one open block suffices.

Now to finally conclude this, I have some questions:

-How do I make a red mushroom farm?

    -What do coins do?

    -Runegates???

    ...

That's quite the impressive build and it looks expensive! :o After several MITE worlds my farms and houses have gotten smaller and smaller in the short runs, everything costs so much resources! With some understanding on how mobs attacks farms one can make a pretty cheap and secure farm, in theory, a flying farm would be 100% safe from everything except the occasionally zombie pigman from thunder strikes ^_^

Coins are a great addition to the game that allows the player to store and consume exp pretty fast. Staying around level 15-20 is great unless one is super secure and confident in that they will not die, so one doesn't lose too much exp when they die. So if you find yourself at a comfortable level, feel free to craft and store some coins just in case. Its good to be familiar with storing exp when one wants to make better quality tools, I don't know if you have seen the reference folder yet, it contains a lot of useful info.

I did find runegates quite interesting and they were really fun to explore alone. Runegates are just a mithril/adamantium addition for portals, they have an algorythm I did not quite figure out (wanted to set portals to desired locations). Anyway, if you have obsidian and mithril to spare, try to just make a runegate :) Portal behavior in MITE is different than in vanilla, try to make a "normal portal" and see, and I dont remember if Avernite fixed the overworld portal, spawning under ground bug, so maybe take the safe route and backup the world the first time! :)

How is the current different version status looking? R148 and R149+ is two different worlds with some different implements, how would this be for future releases? I think ill be starting a R149+ world and play on two different worlds depending what I like, but it seems like a tricky overlap situation :/

Ok, so I recently decided to try something new now after I achieved to gather a potat; and thus Ive acquired all of the vegetables and having found a village, runegates! I would say this is a late game feature, and I felt myself quite intrigued by this. So far im on day 250 and only lack blaze rod before nearly everything is set! It was awesome exploring runegates, it took a lot of hours to get it going as I wanted to, and some preparations aswell, I certainly look forward to end game building!

Pictures before and after bloodmoon! Btw people might say that MITE is easy after mid game, but Ive spent 50+ hours to finally get to this point, with armour and a farm that can suffice 4+ people (yeh a bit much), but after ive invested so much time, food, construction and resources it should be allowed to reach a point where you can call it easy? The game is already harsh, and yes it could be a little more dangerous overall, but to make it all together dangerous and harsh, thats a little too much imo, I got hardcore mode for that.

PROGRESS: Mithril anvil in making yaa!

How did you run the setup.exe on a mac?

Right click it and then select open, dont double left click it, and then there should be an "open anyway" or something. If you dont figure try google "how to open files on mac from unidentified developer" and you should find an answer to that.

Btw Ouatcheur, Im not into analyzing the farm land efficency (lazy/complex), but I got a huge 3x3 farmland and I wonder in R148+ if thats good? Would 4x4, 10x10, 3x7 or something be better?

    (Missed quote, confifth)
I tried to install it on Mac OSX Sierra for some weeks ago, after failing and doing some research I divcovered that it aint easy to do, the instructions doesnt work while on Mac etc. And yeah, the big problem was that Mac have a different way of copy.paste, but even after i did manage to settle that, it wouldnt work...

What I did was installing Java and then running the easy install method, setup.exe after 1.6.4MC was created. It was that easy ... And if you dont know how to open "unknown" files for Mac system, right click the file and then open the file from list, then you can click something like "open". (if i remember correctly)

Awesome! That means that I can spend bonemeal without worrying if I run out of bonemeal, and furthermore less seeds used! Well that again depends if blight is random or fixed to growth rate. Overall great updates lately!

People, wouldnt it be cool to be able to make some sort of better quality workbench for crafting purposes? I do not mean to add any new or change multiple recipes, but a sort of craftbench that works faster than normal? Like say if I were to go stylish and make a house with blocks like bricks and stone bricks, that could take forever just to craft the blocks. Four stone blocks equal one stone brick and that takes like 15s to make.

I know that one does get faster crafting speed by getting higher level, and level 200 with a "faster" workbench would be ridiculously fast, but I know that I will not be getting to a point where I can even keep over 20k xp on me for quite some time.

Dang, Prebzter2, how did you level up from 15 to 26 so fast?

I reached lvl 35 this day and it was wonderful to have 10 hp and food again, but it didnt take long before I realised it would be better to spare some xp in case of death. Not long after I had around 15 bottles o' enchanting laying in a chest :)
And I have found a rich epic cave which at a point is combined with a ravine and an abandoned mineshaft, so I just carry with me one or two golden apples and im good to go if I need more minerals / xp. After 15+ hours of exploring this cave, findings of 20+ mithril and I think 5+ spawners I think I might be around 60% done with that cave! Still, no potatoes found :(
I've also been playing with a friend, with him by my side I use to mine in the underworld where one gather ores, and the other one keeps his guard up, solo gameplay is just farming and cave exploring in overworld at this point.
Underworld is kinda meh when it comes to monster selection, with full iron and some attention the only real danger would be the revenant-skeleton version of underworld. Not to mention I found one of thoose spawners, the skeleton ones in the underworld, I just popped a golden apple and found some awesome loot. I still have way much I should do in mite, perhaps I will get good progress once the summer holyday starts, I rly wanna make my farm bigger and explore the nether. My farm already gives me 8+ wheat each day, but i guess the more the merrier!

Oh is that how it works :o I find it weird since I cant come up with any place one can get a higher quality item without making it themselves, well thanks for reply, I suddenly feel better now

EDIT: Well it kinda makes sense, with that mechanic included one will think twice before spending alot of xp on one item and then rely on that item. (note to self)

Wait why cant i repair it now???? I've been able to repair enchanted stuff for some time, I made a better quality copper shovel with enchant to compare if it is something, I've even tried to make a new anvil to check if anvil durability stopped me from reparing, nope not a difference....

I got two anvils there, one iron and one copper, one cant put iron nuggets in lower tier anvils so it cant be that im chosing wrong anvil.

I finally got a pickaxe with BIG durability but I would like to be able to repair it aswell :(

Small bug: in R147 ancient metal buckets doesnt act like other metal buckets in the crafting grid like shown in the pictures, I havent tried iron buckets but I would assume the bucket mechanics are the same (except for lava durability).
