Sorry if this question has been asked, I tried searching for it. How do you do custom skins for NPCs? Also will this make the skins viewable to everyone on a server?
First off, I'm really am liking this mod. It's been real fun and a great supplement to my other mods. However, several of my family members don't seem to want to do any work. I tried to send one of them to make a farm. I gave them seeds and a hoe. However when I told them to make the farm the response seems as bit bugged so I'm not sure whats wrong. They responded " I don't have enough 44. I need at least %a2% to create a farm." Being unable to figure out what "44" or "%a2%" were referring to, I decided to make my own farm and just let them harvest it. I used only vanilla crops, wheat, carrots, potatoes, melons, pumpkins and sugar cane. They harvested 2 pieces of wheat and 3 seeds. They now refuse to harvest anything else. I tired emptying their inventory, moving them away and putting them back. Nothing seems to make them work again. I got much the same issues trying to have a different one mine but randomly it seems to have solved itself (I think). They're constantly making new mines now but they are at least getting some resources from it.
Really love this mod by the way. I was wondering if there was a way to get an energy cube to send a redstone signal (or some other item to monitor the energy cube and send the signal) when it's charge is at a certain percentage. I thought I remembered there was but can't seem to figure it out.
So that's wired…I decided to go test it in a new world to try and see if it was a problem with just my world or some odd mod interaction. It worked in the new world but when I came back to my original world, it was also working again…
My first thought is that an Enderman stole one of the non-rune blocks that makes the T4. Can you post a picture of the altar?
I can definitely do that. However even as a tier 1 alter it refuses to infuse. I removed the main alter block and set it up elsewhere as just a tier 1 alter, filled it with blood and it would not infuse my blood orb or any other item. I made a new blood alter and the same thing happened.
I rememered I did make one change since yesterday when it was working fine. I added the ore dictionary converter mod. I removed it today to see if that would fix it, doesn't seem to have made a difference.
Yesterday I finished upgrading my blood alter to a tier 5. All seemed to be going well but today when I loaded everything up I noticed my LP network was about half full. Normally I keep a blood orb in the alter when not in use with a well of suffering to keep the network filled up. I went to investigate and found the alter had downgraded itself to a tier 3 but I hadn't changed anything since yesterday when it was tier 5. I also noticed the alter was full of blood but not re-filling the blood orb. I completely demolished and remade the alter but it still refuses to go higher then tier 3 and it won't infuse anything I put into the alter, blood orbs, shards, nothing. I tried restarting it and updating to the most recent blood magic but nothing seems to fix it. Any suggestions?
Well, you might want to do a bit more config editing since it worked, Open the witchery config and find the highest potion ID used, then shift the blood magic ID's to all be after that so you don't have this sort of thing happen again later on. Remember not to have any ID be higher then 127.
Way ahead of you. Found there were several more that overlapped. Was able to move them all without going over. Thanks bunches.
It is really easy: Open your minecraft instance, same place that you find the folders for your mods, screen shots, resource packs and such. Open the file named "Config", then use a text or word editor such as notepad to edit the file named "AWWayofTime"(A story behind the reason it has this name). Find the potions section near the bottom, then edit the integer after "Boost=". Change it to something like 125, then start up the game. Really is that simple.
That did it! Thank you so much! I got confused because I thought it would be the file named blood magic in config that you edit. Guess I should have expected it to also be named after the author.
Here is a way to test for conflict: Shift the potion ID for boost from 101 to something like 125. What I think is happening is your conflicting with witchery potions, and by chance are getting "Feel no pain", an effect that trades hunger for an extra buffer of health and causes a bit of nausea every few seconds. Make the change, boot the game, check if it is working, then create and post another potion ID dump.
ahh, thats an idea. I did notice a lot of the witchery ones very close to the blood magic ones. I'll try it and let you know. Thanks!
Edit: Actually, I just realized I don't know how to edit the potion IDs. How would one go about that?
The question is then, is everything bound to your network? you may be using armour or a sigil bound to a network that has nothing in it.
This is in a single player world. I only have and have only ever had one network. I made all the armor in the exact same way at the same time. First I made the helmet with the sanguine helm upgrade by adding a weak blood share, sanguine helm and master blood orb. I right clicked the finish helm till it said I was the owner and put it on. I did the exact same with all the other pieces, adding the weak blood shard, the sigil I wanted and a master blood orb then right clicking the item so it said I was the owner and putting it on. I only got this issue with the haste sigil so I unbound the armor and tried the haste signal and got the same effect, boost II with an intermittent nausea effect. I remade the haste sigil and got the same effect.
The only item that causes you nausea is the lava crystal. I just tried the Haste Sigil inside of a bound chestpiece, and got the boost II effect. Either you have a ritual on that is causing the funky chicken, or you have mismatched potion IDs.
I only have one active ritual, the well of suffering that I use to power my LP network with some spawners I found. The LP in the network is growing faster then it's being used. I only get this nausea effect in conjunction with Boost II from the haste sigil or the haste sigil bound to my armor. I posted my potion ID dump a few posts up in the spoiler. Could I be reading it wrong? I don't see an ID conflict but maybe I don't know what to look for?
that sounds like you dont have enough lp in your network.I advise that you make a new divination sigil and check your lp then make sure that your armour and everything else is bound to your network.
The armor is using the master blood orb as part of the enhancement so it should not be pulling from the network for the haste effect. I have remade the divination sigil it is definitely bound to the network and it reports how much is in the network. The network has well over 500K LP (used to be 1 million but I lost a lot making the filled sockets) in it and I've set up a few monster spawners on a well of suffering that is continually refreshing the network. Every time I use the divination sigil while wearing the armor or using the haste sigil, it reports that the LPs in the network are going up. I'm putting in more then I'm spending.
nei. open your inventory click the options button (bot left screen) click tools, dumps, go to potion id click dump then go to your folder and find the data dump or dumps folder and open to see the list of pot ids
Awesome thank you very much for helping me do that! From what I can tell there doesn't seem to be a conflict. I believe that nausea is ID 9, called confusion. All of the blood magic ones seem to be 100-114. I believe the haste sigil one is called boost, it has ID 101. Nothing else is called boost or has potion ID 101.
praus dont look at the effect, you want to look at the potion ID. If 2 effects have the same ID best case scenario is that one will dominate and potions that give either will give that one. forge normally allows potion ID's from 1-127 so if you have a lot of potion effects then you may want to get Reika's dragonAPI which allows upto 255 id's.
Got'cha. Thanks for trying to help. What I don't understand is how to check these IDs. Can you explain how I can check them? What process do I use to see the IDs for them?
More like make sure that Haste's potion ID isn't nausea's ID.
Ok, sounds good. Do you know the best way to check that ID? When i look in NEI there is no haste potion or any other potion that gives boost II (the effect that the haste sigil gives) There is a speed potion and a mining potion but those are different effects, and there's no nausea potion.

I get this same issue if I use the sigil with bound armor and a master blood orb so I don't think it has anything to do with the LP network.

Ok, sounds good. Do you know the best way to check that ID? When i look in NEI there is no haste potion or any other potion that gives boost II (the effect that the haste sigil gives) There is a speed potion and a mining potion but those are different effects, and there's no nausea potion.

Can this happen in a single player world?
