I vaguely remember talk about nether portals naturally generating a while back but I'm pretty sure that was total bull. However this is interesting, but I have to say I'm fairly certain you set this whole thing up.
On a side note, my friends and I were once all playing on a Minecraft server and we were planning to play a prank on one of them. So, we got one guy to set up the prank and two others (including me) to distract him so he doesn't see the prank being set up. Then me and my other fellow distractor said "Hey, wanna go mining for nether diamonds with us?" (he was new to Minecraft at the time so he fell for it). We went into the Nether and he ended up dying. A lot. In the process a lot of his gear was burned up in lava and our distraction turned into a trip into the nether just so he could lose all of his valuables. He still gets grumpy when we mention it to this day.
So let me tell you a little something. I. Am. Sick. Of. These. Minecraft. Servers. They're all the same thing, bustling full with 200-300 players, faction and economy plugins, griefers everywhere, and trolls spamming the chat.So I would like to find a small server with a NICE and MATURE community to play on, here are some features that would be preferably for me.
- Whitelisted, obviously, it's hard for griefers, trolls, and just generally annoying people to get on if a server is whitelisted
- Vanilla, I'm ok with some plugins to help against hackers and what not, but I swear to god.. if I see another faction, shop, or economy plugin I will scream.
- Griefing is not allowed, because why would I want to join a mature whitelisted server just to find that my potato farm is blown up and has a giant immensely disproportioned male genital sticking out of it.
- A MATURE community, when I mean mature I don't mean "A community with no kids" I mean a community with all mature people. I would be FINE with playing with ten year olds as long as they're mature, don't troll, or grief.
- It is a small community, maybe around 5 - 20 people who go on the server because honestly.. I'm just not a fan of those giant servers that lag me down to 5 FPS.
If anyone has or knows of a white listed server similar to this could you please tell me about it? Thanks.
Some comments regarding the logic of this suggestion:
- I don't see how magnetized gear can inflict extra damage
- Gold isn't magnetic, you cannot magnetize it
- You don't need some magical voodoo enchanting table to magnetize metal
And now some comments regarding the practicality of this suggestion:
- If you were in a pvp situation and were dealing let's just say 3 1/4 hearts of damage on another player, how would losing that extra quarter of a heart be shown on their health bar? After all the hearts only split into halves.
- This is basically a weakened version of sharpness, no one would want it.
Make sure you are using the eye of ender properly, if it just flies into a cliff face it DOES NOT MEAN the strong hold is inside the cliff face.
Also, the eye of ender will stop flying after a while and it will turn into a collectible item then fall onto the ground, DON'T mistake this for the eye of ender FLOATING down into the ground. If the eye of ender falls and is a collectable item that means you still have a while to go, travel towards the eye of ender and throw another one in the same direction until you find the stronghold.
You will know the stronghold is directly below you if the eye of ender starts to slowly descend into the ground without dropping as an item.
I have also played on a bad computer in the past. I was playing regularly with 30fps for my first two years of Minecraft, that isn't too bad but I prefer my 100fps with my new desktop computer.
I hardly notice a difference after 60 FPS.. soo.. yeah.
Also, I STILL play minecraft on a bad computer and go from about 10 - 90ish FPS depending on what I'm doing in Minecraft. I still manage to cope with it.

2). If you remember little details, have a copy of the world, or had a screenshot of it prior to the destruction you can rebuild it bit by bit.
3). Also, if this just happened, and your server still hasn't saved yet, you can close it without saving and the latest saved version of your world should load up once you restart the server.
I saw some videos of your map, and it looks very good, but the whole "You are test subject [insert long number here], and you woke up in a lab and must go through a series of tests designed by a sadistic pyschopath" story is a bit generic.

So, this morning while cowering in my home during the night cycle I decided to just sleep until morning and face a new day in my MC world. I left the security of my gated home and looked out by the beach. What I saw was a first for me, which was a skeleton completely covered in gold armour and NOT burning up from the sun. I decided to investigate further and yep, there he was all decked out in shiny gold. While attacking him, it seemed to take a couple more thwacks of my iron sword than a typical skeleton would.
Has anyone seen anything like that before? What has been the oddest thing you've witnessed in Minecraft?
it is perfectly normal for skeletons to spawn with gold armor, also, if flammable mobs are wearing armor they will not burn in daylight.
Also, that signature is just prodding a sleeping bear with a steak knife. The amount of fanboyism I have seen about Sky has died down a lot. (Or maybe because I don't go on servers that much anymore) and they are rarely spotted on the forums anymore. It's like two guys apologizing and making up after an argument, then one of them shouting "HEY I GAVE YOUR MOM AN STD WHEN WE WERE BANGING IN BED LAST NIGHT!"

plus it's not survival if you just spawn in a stack of steaks, coal, diamond, and wood.
