    Hi all. Been awhile since i posted on mcforum, but i need some help from someone who has some experience with modding minecraft with java.

    A friend and I are doing another playthrough of Tekkit Classic modpack on the technic launcher (a mod for minecraft version 1.2.5). I am trying to change Equivalent Exchange so that converting items through the Transmutation Tablet isn't 100% efficient. Basically what i mean is that, for one example, putting in 1 diamond (8k EMC) into the tablet will yield half value (4k EMC) to spend on other items: a conversion factor cost so that you can't just convert EMC of anything indefinitely without loss.

    How do i create a mod that can reference the EMC values from Transmutation Tablets in real-time throughout the in-game world out of the Equivalent Exchange mod so i can alter them in my mod whenever items are placed into the tablets? Need this to work in multiplayer as well; i have the server files.

    if thats the case, you can use the zombie awareness mod. it can do the omnisense to any mob and you can add exceptions.
    sadly tho, coros havent update it yet. there was once a mining zombie mod (by the same person) that would mine blocks to get to you.

    would like for 1.3.1

    also, i dont want mobs having a better chance to find to if you're bleeding. I just want mobs to swarm you from 200 blocks away.

    highest score wins.

    the mod is meant to be played as a normal minecraft game would start ;p

    but people could make their own maps that they start on instead and share them if they want

    i actually think it would be pretty cool for zombies just to ignore everything and bust down your wall just to get to you. it would open gaps in your defenses instead of mobs lining up at your door waiting for the zombies to finally break it down.

    as for the coding, it doesn't have to be breaking the block. if it's easier for the coder, it can just simply be the zombie deletes blocks in the way if the zombie cannot reach the player. this is not to be confused with zombies breaking down ANYTHING between them and the player, for example, a tree. ONLY if the zombie CANNOT find any possible pathing to the player will he start busting down your walls.

    edit: i also left this out. endermen won't be a part of the monsters that instantly aggro you from far away. they will still only aggro you if you look at them, as normal.

    So I was thinking about mod ideas that would be lots of fun and yet very simple for mods to make, and I ended up with this. Please note that the name is not final. I already know it came from straight off a movie, the idea just sort of reminded me of it.

    Anyway, here's the idea. The player starts as normal: it's sunrise and you've got 12 hours before the sun sets. At night monsters spawn. So far, pretty normal. Except, with a twist. Monsters from all over will aggro the player from a much farther distance and will aggro through blocks, swarming the player at night. It's basically survival, except you're not surviving in normal minecraft, you're surviving the monster apocalypse. It would be really easy to make (at least I think so). All that needs to be done is for the mob aggro distance to be severely raised and for monsters to ignore blocks when detecting players to aggro. This would be a great co-op mod as well.


    OPTIONAL ADDITIONS:

    If zombies detect that there is no way to the player and there are no doors in the way (i.e., the player buried himself in a hole during nighttime or made a shack with no doors) then the zombie will get as close to the player as possible and then break the block nearest to the player that is within the zombie's range. This is to prevent cheap ways to survive the night. I strongly recommend adding this, but if it's too much of a hassle to code then it can be left out. If people are going to take the time DL the mod then they can take it upon their own initiative to not cheap out on it if this isn't added.

    Zombies will break down iron doors just like they were wooden doors. This is almost imperative to add, however it would be nice if it was possible to code it so that iron doors took much longer, per say, up to 4 or 5 times longer, to break down the door. I strongly recommend this one as well.

    Waves! Night 1: only zombies... night 2: zombies and skeletons... night 3: all surface-world mob types... night 4: all surface world and all nether world mob types... or any other ideas that will escalate the difficulty as the nights pass. This isn't too imperative to add, but it would be a nice addon.


    if this does ever get made for server, i would love to do a LP in return with a friend or two of mine in return :)

    Hey everyone, have a lot of time on my hands recently so I'm looking to be a mod/admin for a server. Very active, I know admin commands for popular minecraft server addins (towny, iconomy, lwc, etc.)

    Personally looking to be mod/admin for an iconomy server with limited or no PVP, however I can be flexible. Reply if you'd like to know anything more, I'd be happy to assist :)
