Thats the point, you could do it manually, but once you have a proper wheat farm, you will swimm in wheat, and be tired of feeding animals. This solves both problems: you spend more wheat, and forget about the animals.
Wheat Pack, a block made out of 9 wheats. When placed, animals will eat from it, enter breading mode, breed, and after the breeding cooldown runs out, eat again, and repeat. The block will run out after (4?) uses.
This allows the player, at a certain cost, to feed his animals every 20 mins instead of every 5, with the same results.
In decimal system, with one number we can count from 0 to 9, with two number from 0 to 99, etc.
In Binary system, with one number we can count from 0 to 1, with two numbers from 0 to 3, etc.

Search for "Johnson Counter". It is an electronic chip that i think does what you want (that is, to light up torches in sequence). If you want to light them in order but without turning them off, y would sugest an array of D type flip flops.
weird trick: if you place the door while you are "inside" it, the door will be open while unpowered, and closed while powered. then, placing a redtorch under it and wiring it will: a) prevent anybody from opening your door by placing a redtorch/lever next to your door, and :cool.gif: control your door from different levers.
A redstone powered block that breaks the block next to it when powered. That would allow "automatic cobblestone factories" to be truly automatic. It may be directional just as the piston mod is.
