posted a message on Chance With Chorus Fruit?

Hello. I'm not a mapmaker, but I recently had an idea with the new chorus plants.

Chorus plants teleport you somewhere, up to 8 blocks in all three axis, doing 16 tries to do so. With that, it might be possible to create games of chance using that mechanic. You could start in a small room, and have every block within a radius of about 10 completely blocked off, except for a couple small air holes the size of the player. Give them fruit, they'll teleport to one of them. Which one would be random, but you should teleport to one, I think. This might be helpful for mazes, or for minigames. I'm not sure if it would work, or if it wouldn't teleport you because it only tries 16 times to teleport you. Either way, there's something to be had here with chance and luck, using these plants instead of dispensers and whatnot.

What do you guys think? Any ideas? Would this even work? What would it work for? Anyways, thanks for reading.

I've seen that before. The reason I created this is because, as you can see, yours has two inputs. I felt too lazy to put them in speerately, so I attempted to make it with only one input.

So, I haven't ever seen it done before, and I just recently came up with it. As the title says, it's a single-input smelter. Every automatic smelter I've ever seen has an input for coal, and an input for what to smelt, but I've made one that only has one input, which takes both ores and coal, but it does have a few restrictions (I'll get back to that later).

The entire system is tileable, which helps for one of the restrictions. Here's the entire system:

The restriction is that for each line, you can only have one item to be smelted. For example, if you wanted to smelt iron ore, you would need a line specifically for iron ore.

There are two parts I have to explain that make this system work. As you can see, two of the signs say "Always has 5 Items' and "Always has 64 Items". This is because when the ore gets funneled through the hoppers, if will only get funneled down if it matches the 5 items(it can have more than 5 items, up to the maximum capacity that hoppers can hold). The furnace always has 64 items, because if it didn't, it would funnel through into the furnace, and there would be an empty slot in the hopper, so coal would be able to funnel through.

The other restriction is that if your coal smelts all the ore, or enough to leave an empty slot in the hopper, then coal will funnel into the wrong hopper.

So, that's my system. If you need me to put up more pictures to help explain, just tell me and I would be glad to. I would like to see if someone could fix it/make it more efficient/make it have no restrictions.

Also, here's a setup you could have to smelt gold and iron.

posted a message on no weapons breaking in gm 2
Perhaps it could be a gamerule. For ecxample, you could use the command /gamerule doWeaponDurability false, and it would prevent it from breaking. Pickaxes and other tools would still break, though. Also, it would let you enchant it, because if you did use SMP, then you couldn't use an enchanting table to give it new enchantments.

I am new and a fairly good map creator (I plan on releasing some test maps) and I want to make an adventure map. I have all sorts of great ideas, and I can picture what they look like, but I can't seem to build them. I am good at building smaller buildings, and I can build some pretty cool things with redstone. I need help building big things (i.e. skyscrapers, entire cities, ect.). Any ideas to help me?
