Nice map shot. With terrain, try adding three layers of grass block on all of the stone you put down, looks better in my opinion.
Usually I would agree, and put more grass. However, hogwarts mostly sits on a stone basin with a decent amount of grass on the sides. Which I try to accommodate. Most of my terrain building consists of just making an outline, then making the outline smaller and smaller each block until I reach the top. Making the terrain look like an "un rendered mountain" then go back in with stone and grass to add a bunch of random blocks in places until it looks natural.
There are no words to describe how awesome this is. I'm a huge harry potter fan. I would love to see this map in person. I imagine you could get lost very easy.

It's not easy to get lost in it for me. lol, but I can imagine other people may get a little lost. A lot of the interior is still unfinished. I'm working on that part
I was watching The Deathly Hallows on ABC last night, and noticed the side of the bridge has a little bit of a land wrap around it, so I did that today. I hate making terrain, but I'm not too bad at it xD
This is awesome. Really, I love the concept. The designs are really well done, the buildings are shaping up really really nice. I just love the atmosphere over all. Great job man, just really good. Everything has it's own unique place, different districts it's just really well laid out.
mojang will also mark your words, and now will definitely take longer than spring just to spite you
Well, I guess that's fine since Mojang doesn't make the Console versions of the game. Plus, no game company is going to delay an update to spite a member of their community.
Don't get your hopes up. This update will take at least 6 months based on how long previous updates took from annoucement to release. So that means we'd be talking April/May 2015.
Yes, but also take into effect that we have almost all of 1.4's features already. 1.5 is a pretty big update but still doesn't have too much. 1.6 is also not a huge update. No way its going to take till spring, mark my words.
I also updated, all I've noticed to be different is the glass being fixed. I was hoping my toolbar would finally go down cause I never play with tool-tips. Very upset it doesn't since next gen got it.
I stayed up all night to grab the game within the first hour of it appearing in the store. First world I made was on the Glaicer seed. I worked on that world in pure survival nonstop for a long time. Once 1.8 came out I stopped working on it. I still have it however, I go back and look at it sometimes.
Well this is interesting news. I'll be able to compact some redstone simple contraptions after that. That is quite a lot of content. Unsure what to make of the bat, since those don't do anything beyond add to the caving atmosphere. Hopefully they won't have those spawn too much, as they can get annoying or in the way too much.
Not really interested in the wither much, more or less the beacons. But still a decent addition when considered.
Finally will have slimes spawning in swampland, now that I like. Although hopefully not too much, as that in it self could be problematic. Now we just need a way to be able to use hardened clay; as in a way to make it more less rare, if not just acquirable in some way or fashion. Otherwise it would be pointless to build anything with it in survival, at least on the 360 version, but even then... Well one could hope anyway.:)
From a creative standpoint. Colored Clay & Beacons are going to be amazing. Less stupid glowstone for lamps, and no more wool for colorful houses.
"We're now working on an update for all Minecraft console editions to move up to the equivalent of Java 1.6.4 version. It may take some time!"
So if I'm correct, this will include 1.4, which is the Pretty Scary Update. 1.5 which is the Redstone update. 1.6 which is the update that added Horses. Hell yeah 4J!
When throwing eggs, chickens not hatching individually. One egg will spawn multiple chickens.
Animals glitching through walls and appearing black (Pigs, Dogs, and Sheep verified so far).
When fishing, every other caught fish will not be added to inventory. EXP is awarded correctly, but not all raw fish are obtained. If I catch 3 raw fish, only two are added to inventory.
Sometimes when you collect a fish with a rod, it doesn't just go straight into your inventory. Sometimes it falls short and you have to go and collect it. Check the water in front of you sometimes to make sure it didn't flop into the water.
