Jun 29, 2013Pluto_ posted a message on Don't Drop the Soap! | Prison Server | 1.5 | 155 Slots | No lag | 24/7 |
In game name: Pluto1099
What is your timezone? Eastern Standard Time
What times can you guard? Most of the day considering that I'm currently on summer vacation.
Do you have experience with prison themed servers?: Yes, I've been guard on three and I was warden on one.
Do you have any experience guarding?: Yes, I was guard here, B-Guard on Killion, and Guard on Convicted.
What makes you the best selection for guard?: Well, I still know all the server rules from when I guarded several months ago and I check up on them often. I see little to no guards on or I see most of them on. I would love to change that. I'm friendly, I enjoy helping people, and I can enforce the rules well. I am very trustworthy and I am very knowledgeable of the rules and how to enforce them accordingly. I am a very active player so I can guard a lot.
Have you read ALL the rules, guard and prisoner?: Yes, I agree with them and I will enforce them well.
What is your current rank? Do you understand that we will need screenshot proof of it if you decide to resign?:
Do you agree to the McPrison Staff Employment Agreement? (http://ddts.co/32d) Yes, I do.
Any additional info: I know I messed up a lot during my time as Chat Mod and a little during my time as guard but I would love to be a part of the staff again and I feel like I should get another chance, if you feel otherwise that's fine. And did you know that jj is a love machine? Also, I know this isn't a long app but it explains anything that I feel like you should know. I'm sure you remember how I did the last time I was guard and this time I plan to do better.

Be honest guys, have you ever forgotten to review someone's moderator application?
We never forget any applications. All applications are marked accepted or denied before we start a new batch.
May 26, 2013If you don't want your groups using WorldEdit in general, just add the permission node -worldedit.* to them. If you want them to have WorldEdit but not in that region you can do /rg flag blocked-cmds <commands blocked>. You would want to block the commands //set, //replace, etc.Posted in: Server Support and Administration

If you have premium I think you should get minecraft for free!
Curse Premium supports the Minecraft Forum and Curse. Proceeds that Curse gets helps keep Curse and all of their websites up. None of it goes to Mojang so if you buy Curse Premium you will not get a free account.

May 9, 2013Allow me to answer every question on this thread that has ever ever been asked.Posted in: Forum Discussion & Info
Why was I denied?! I'm a perfectly good person!
That pm was a peice of bullcrap, it said nothing specific!
Because there was some specific or non-specific that we saw in you that was either undesirable or needed changing before you can be hired as a moderator.
The denial PM is an automated message sent out by citricsquid. It is non-specific because there are not going to be hand-written explanations on why you have undesirable traits. The best trait you can show above all else is self-improvement; if you can't look to yourself to see what's wrong now, how can we expect it of you as a moderator?
How coming my app is still pending?!
Applications are done in batches. When we finish a batch of apps (can be any size, really), then we export all the denials at the same exact time, and if you were in that batch, then you'll either have been pm'd with acceptance before that event, or denied during it.
What sections can I apply for?
whatever is relevant to where you post. Do mind, if you only post in say, Discussion, then applying to servers will probably not get you anywhere.
How will I know how to do x when moderating?
When and if you are accepted, the forum's sectional administrator will guide you on how to use the tools, and the proper guidelines on what actions to take when. If you have questions, there are staff channels where you can ask nearly one hundred different staff members your question.
What batch am I in?
If you have to ask, most likely the next one. However we post here whenever we import a new batch. (You can also get a hint that a batch just ended when about 1000 people complain about being denied)
Okay, cool. Things are in batches. BUT WHEN WILL IT FINISH?!?!?!?!?!ONE?!
Batches are done when they get done. There is no timeframe, because applications are done by people (admins) who have lives outside of the forums and dedicate their free time to doing them. They are not our highest priority, but we do try to get them done in a timely manner. The usual rate is anywhere up to 2-3 months, so sit tight and don't worry.
HI IVE APPLIED
Cool beans. Chances are, so has every other person in this thread. You don't need to mark your territory.
Congratulations to xx on xx
Yes, yes. They are a moderator now, great! But there are other places (that are not here) to go about congratulating them. For instance, their profile feed.
-random offtopic posts that contribute absolutely NOTHING to the thread-
Stop. This is seriously the last straw. If you continue posting irrelevant garbage on a thread that serves to help anyone with a legitimate (aka not asked 983471239412 times) question, then your post will be removed for being exactly what it is, spam.

Apr 13, 2013PuyoDead posted a message on Giving advice to mod applicants in the applying to be mod threadStop it.Posted in: Administrators & Moderators
To expand, some mods are posting in the Applying to be moderator thread, giving them general tips and advice on how best to write up their application. We'd rather this doesn't happen. We use that application to get an idea of how the applicant is suited for the position. If their app is a mashup of advice given by other mods, it hinders our initial view of the applicant. Also, it's a bit condescending to be posting in that thread with "advice" to get hired. The vast majority of people applying don't make it, so it kind of comes off as "you probably won't get hired, so here's some things to try to trick your way in".
So again, please stop. We want to see what these people have to say about themselves, not what other people has told them to say. Besides, we mostly go off their posting history, so in the end it wouldn't even really help much.

What an excellent expedient! I'm sure this will go very well.
He posted this about twenty times in other forum sections and topics. Would an admin be so kind as to nuke his posts?
