Generally, for futuristic or modern-looking builds you want to use quartz, white concrete, (maybe some cyan hardened clay if done well), and a lot of glass.

In the 1.14.3 prereleases, the did make pigmen aggro less mean by other pigmen needing direct line of sight to also get mad (though it may get reverted), but nevertheless, I support to make it less possible for that one jerk to make the nether unusable at spawn.

When you say "at the same x,y and z cords" that means you took x and z but NOT y and divided by 8 in the nether, correct?

minecraft.net and the minecraft launcher both give news. The best place to discuss the game is probably r/Minecraft or r/MinecraftSuggestions.

The best place to get community help with the game, however.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

posted a message on Are time warps a form of lag, or a new bug?

This is an old form of lag. It's called rubberbanding, and it's when the client and server aren't in sync. If this occurs in multiplayer, it has to do with poor connection or the server being overloaded. In singleplayer, try allocating more RAM, updating Java, updating your drivers, and/or closing other CPU-intensive programs.

    BIOMES:

    1. Lava Beds A relatively flat biome covered in rugged black volcanic rock and volcanic craters from ancient eruptions some occasional dirt patches with bushes and stunted trees grow here.
Looks cool, but plain. maybe have some still warm lava pools?
    2. Joshua Trees A desert like biome covered in spiny Joshua trees dotted with large boulders patches, dead bushes, and mesquite.
This looks almost exactly like the current desert, just with a few more plants. Needs more excitement.
    3. Boulder Mountains A hilly biome covered in large boulders with infrequent grass patches and moss.
This biome, while looking like a mountain, if made well could look really cool.
    4. Salt Flats A flat biome with large quantities of salt, no vegetation is present here
Really boring. Plus, what is the salt for?
    5. Lakebed A dried up lakebed with cracked mud, dead trees/shrubs can spawn here although uncommon.
Also boring. What is the mud for? Mud bricks could be pretty cool.
    6. Saguaro Desert A desert with tall saguaro cactuses, dead shrubs, mesquite and barrel/prickly pear cactuses.
This works much better than the joshua trees.
    7. Oasis This rare biome located in the middle of deserts has aquifers and springs as well as palm trees and shrubs bordering it with lush green grass, animals can spawn here.
I think this is already coming in either 1.15 or 1.16, when the desert gets an update, just as the taiga just got a minor update.
    8. Fynbos Native to the cape of south Africa this rare Mediterranean climate like biome contains bushes and a wide variety of flowers and fauna.
This looks a bit too busy. Even the flower forest doesn't have a flower on every block
    9. Chaparral Only found in California this uncommon rugged biome contains patches of stone, and bushes like manzanita or sage, short stunted oak trees also grow here providing a source of wood.
This looks a lot like a Jungle Edge biome, just without a nearby jungle
    10. Outback Found in central Australia this rare biome contains orange colored sand and rocks, short stubby plants and dead bushes also grow here.
    1
00% in favor of this. Spawn near deserts and savannas. New source for red sand.
    11. Arctic A cold desolate biome covered in ice and snow with gravel patches vegetation is nonexistent here except a couple dead shrubs popping from the snow . ...so the Snowy Tundra biome without the trees? Also, no visual interest = boring to look at.
    12. Tundra A cold flat biome with short stubby vegetation and moss/lichen covered rocks some occasional patches of snow and ice.
This one is more colourful. Cold grassy biome with occasional mossy cobble popping up seems fine.
    13. Moor A cold/wet highland biome with water pools and short mossy grass, trees are not found here but there is occasional rock outcrops.
This seems just like a cold plains, and that's fine.
    14. Headlands A steep rugged biome that borders oceans; coves, sea stacks/arches, and tidepools are common in this biome as well as stunted spruce and oak trees made to look distorted by the oncoming wind from the sea.
Oooh, that looks fancy and I like the description. We need more biomes with cliffs onto the sea.
    15. Tropical Island A very rare biome with lush forests of palm trees and hibiscus flowers no hostile mobs spawn here.
Very pretty, but it better be as rare as a mooshroom island.
    16. Hydrothermal Vents A rare deep ocean biome with vents spewing out black liquid particles. magma blocks can also be found here.
    Seems fine.
    17. Kelp Forest A common aquatic biome with kelp much closer together and in larger quantiles than in normal oceans
This seems like an obvious addition
    18. Volcano An island biome with towering volcanoes with lava running down its size pools of lava and steam ash rain are common.
People have asked for years. Mojang, please. We beg of you.
    19. Volcanic Beach Borders the ocean of volcanic islands contains black sand.
If volcanoes exist, so does black sand. 100%.
    20. White Sand Beach Borders the ocean of a tropical island biome contains white sand.
    Ooooh, so pretty....
    21. Gravel Beach A beach made from gravel blocks
    Mojang, please readd.
    22. Rapids A river biome with faster moving water and rocks pultruding from it waterfalls are common here as well.
Why /are/ rivers still water, anyway...? This is a good idea, though.
    23. Delta A marsh like biome with reeds and slow moving brown water occurs when a river enters an ocean.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
    24. Wetlands A biome with lakes of cattails and reeds and Lilly pads surrounded by muddy beaches with cottonwood trees.
    ...So a swamp biome?
    25. Mangroves A water filled land with mangrove trees reaching their roots in the water.
    Can't see image
    26. Bayou A swampish land with bayou trees with their thick trunks in murky algae filled water.
looks like a swamp. Only interesting if the trees generate partially underwater
    27. Moss Forest A dense forest covered in moss and lichen dead fallen trees covered in moss are common here as well.
kinda just looks like a jungle.
    28. Thicket A dense forest filled area with thorns and bushes that hurt the player when walked on.
That's pretty cool, and they could reuse code from the berry bushes
    29. Rice Fields A biome of terraces of water containing rice plants.
What's unique about rice as a food/plant? Why do we need it?
    30. Karsts A landscape of towering pillars and mountains of limestone with dense foliage on its slopes surrounded by waterways.
I like mountains, especially next to water.
    31. Batholith A mountainous landscape of exposed granite outcrops and occasional spruce trees.
This one, however, looks just like a normal extreme hills
    32. Cloud Forest A dense mountainous tropical rainforest shrouded in clouds and mist.
That's a cool mechanic, though could be laggy or annoying
    33. Crag A steep mountainous biome with jagged peaks, gravel patches and snow
    Support
    34. Hot Springs A landscape of geysers mud pots and hot springs with steam particles emanating from them.
Only if the steam does damage if you don't have fire resist
    35. Shield A landscape of spruce trees mixed in with exposed areas of stone and ores.
I like the exposed ores, but it seems somewhat strange
    36. Boreal Forest A forest of mixed deciduous and coniferous trees.
...There are no seasons in Minecraft. Do you mean mixed Spruce and Oak/Birch? If so, that's cool.
    37. Frost Forest A mixed forest covered in frost and snow
    Snowy Taiga
    38. Seasonal Forest A forest of multicolored leaves in perpetual autumn with fallen leaves and logs.
That's really pretty. I like it.
    39. Flower Fields A rare plains like biome covered in flowers.
Good alternative to flower forest, I suppose
    40. Cherry Blossom Grove A forest full of pink white and white cherry trees in full bloom.
Very pretty. How many new trees do we need, though?!
    41. Orchard A biome full of trees bearing fruits including apples, peaches and oranges.
Do we need new foods? What's cool about oranges and peaches? How do these trees bear the fruit? No support here.
    42. Lavender Fields: A biome full of lavender flowers.
I personally don't think we need lavender, but could go either way, I suppose.
    43. Eucalyptus forest A uncommon biome of clustered eucalyptus trees.
Eucalyptus trees may be too thin to really portray in MC. To give that clustered feeling, yet still fit through... idk
    44. Redwood Forest A rare biome of tall coastal redwoods.
    Redwoods are some awesome trees.
    45. Pasture A biome of open fields full of dry grass sheep and cows are common in this biome.
Why not just plains? The grass is greener there.

    div class="quote-body">

Biomes don't need to have a "use"; you could say the same about most of the existing biomes, and you have to admit that seeing the same few biomes over and over gets boring pretty fast (if more because of the decision in 1.7 to separate biomes into "climates" of the same few similar biomes with the occasional rare variant). At least one of the biomes mentioned, gravel beaches, even used to exist in the game but they were removed in Beta 1.8, and such beaches would make more sense than sand beaches next to various biomes, such as extreme hills (they do have "stone beach" but that is more like a variant of extreme hills than an actual beach biome).

    100% agree.

Here is an example of a gravel beach in my own mod, which also uses the old Beta gravel texture (more like sand than gravel) and has "gold gravel", which drops gold nuggets when mined, 1 ingot when smelted (this makes it unique in that all other ores require a pickaxe/tool): Really cool idea, and great biome look.

From left to right are gravel, gravel sand, gold gravel, and gold gravel sand:

Likewise, why not a desert with quartz (white) sand and sandstone (which also generates in beaches and underwater sand deposits next to "tropical" biomes like jungles, and the seafloor of tropical oceans)?

This is a great look for a new biome. Just a little flair of visual interest.
A tropical ocean, which has quartz and normal sand covering the seafloor:

    Again, really cool.
As seen here, even the underground has biome-specific blocks in place of normal stone and stone-based ores (all biomes that have something other than dirt/grass at the surface are like this, so mesa has hardened clay, and so on):
    This should already exist.

These are some of the other biomes that I added; some are a bit fantastical but Minecraft shouldn't be overly realistic (after all it has exploding plants and magic):
    Mushroom Forest:

Really cool, but maybe a bit too far.
Badlands (a mesa-like biome variant, separate from Mesa, which is similar to the 1.7 biome):

This one is hard for me. I love it, but the name... hm. Mojang renamed the 1.7 biome to 'badlands' in 1.13, so maybe this can be called something else, or that can be rerenamed to Mesa and this to Badlands?
Iceland, made entirely out of variants of packed ice, plus "ice" vegetation:

    Looks great!
A desert with saguaro and prickly pear cactus (which generate in all deserts in varying amounts):

This. Is. Amazing. I love the cacti.
Desert M with oasis, as well as the ability for cactus to grow up to 6 blocks tall instead of 3, exclusive to this biome:

These are coming in some form in either 1.15 or 1.16, just like the Taiga got foxes.
    Rocky Mountains:

Looks a lot like a normal extreme hills, though maybe with full snow blocks on top? Looks good though!
    Great Forest:

    Just looks like a taiga.
Big Oak Forest (fun fact: I added this biome in response to Mojang temporarily removing them in 1.7 due to "lag", their usual response instead of actually fixing the issue):

    I like it.
    Bushlands:

    Nice variant of the plains
Forest Mountains (similar to Extreme Hills, including the presence of emerald ore):

    Very nice.
Hilly Plains (replaces some Plains, which were made flatter so villages generate better; to offset this villages were made more common):

    Seems fine
    Ice Hills:

That looks really cool. SO MUCH ICE.
Lake (a biome, not a naturally low area, with small islands of various biomes):

Cool, kinda boring, not really needed, but overall fine.
Mega Forest, with giant trees than can get up to 64 blocks tall:

    Awesome.
TMCW Mega Taiga (my own version that I added before the vanilla versions, with 3x3 spruce trees):

3x3 trees are maybe too big.
    Tropical Swamp:

    Could work.
Volcanic Wasteland; a very good biome for mining as all ores are more common (generate higher up), though it has far more lava, including underground, and no water:

    Looks really cool
A very extreme Mountainous Desert (many biomes can have terrain like this, if not very common, as I increased the height variation of terrain in most biomes except "flat" ones; the maximum height of terrain is about y=190 in "mountain" biomes and y=160 in most others, except y=128 in mesa and volcanic wasteland):

That looks really cool, but is effectively 'amplified' terrain and would kill most computers.
These maps show some of the variation in biomes:
