    That is not Mojang's fault, your computer is not allowing Minecraft to install new files in Roaming. Try to find something in your security settings.

    Step #1: Don't buy Windows 8.

    My PC is now plagued with this crappy OS.

    But all I had to do to get my MC working on Windows 8 is update my OpenGL and Java, and it worked.

    My collage has PC's that run Windows XP (some have Windows '98), have 256 MB of RAM and are running Intel Celeron processors, and our professors assure us their computers are cutting edge.

    They also have some iMacs with these huge ass monitors running OS X 10.3 Panther.

    Live with it. It's a small change. Find a carrot and get on your way. It's not like it'll never work again.

    Besides, breeding pigs is stupid, since cows are easier to work with (2 blocks tall), steak heals the same as porkchops, and they drop leather as well which pigs don't drop any second resource.

    Also, steak is MUCH more aesthetically pleasing than that bland white texture called a porkchop.

    Edit: Actually, I did test it. It seems the creeper, when falling, does not make the 'SssSssS' sound, which must be a bug, or maybe the sound is tied to its detonation animation. Either way, you can hear it hit the ground, and even the distinct 'ssk' sound of a creeper being harmed. I managed to move away thrice without armor and survive every time.


    That was teh whole complaint of the OP, that they don't make a warning sound when sky diving, it isn't a "bug", it was an intended feature that the developers wanted.
