    This seems cool, but there is one thing I don't understand...
    There are so many things that would be so much more helpful, yet they add all these random things that aren't nearly as helpful. Again, I do think this is cool, and could be a good addition, but just think of all the other things they could be adding...

    Oh, and I also think that the texture does need some touching up on. It's not the worst thing ever, but it just looks a bit out-of-place.

    As far as I am aware, this currently does work well with the Improved First Person Mod. You cannot see when both are installed, so you'd might as well just play in third person, making IFP completely obsolete. That's what I tried to find out the moment I first used this mod, but I got was it does not work well. But don't take it from just me; wait until you get a few responses back! Then you can know for sure. :)

    I was having this problem too, but I made a very simple mistake that was easily fixed.

    Make sure that, in your pack.mcmeta, it is set up like this:

    {
      "pack": {
        "pack_format": 1,
        "description": "<pack description here>"
      }
    }


    Not:
    {
      "pack": {
        "pack_format": 1,
        "description": <pack description here>
      }
    }


    If you don't spot the difference, the first one has quotation marks (") around it, while the other does not. Another thing is to make sure that after the number on "pack_format", be sure that there is a comma.

    Hope this helped some of you having the problem!

    The update to 1.6.2 is going to be delayed for a while. There are a few reasons why:
    • I'm going to be getting a new/better computer, so I feel it would be best to not work on my mod, as I would like to add to/change/remove from my portable hard-drive until then.
    • On Thursday (PST), I will be leaving for a trip. It will be lasting two weeks, and, because of this, I will have no access to my computer.
    • Turns out, updating my mod from 1.5.2 is a lot harder than expected. I've been experiencing a good deal of problems that I have yet to fix.
    • If you are interested, I've having troubles with the equipped armor textures appearing in-game, the swords (not other tools) doing damage. The Energized Blade causes the game to crash whenever you attempt to hit an entity (haven't tested with other swords). I feel that finding the proper names for the armor models would be a fix for the armor problems. As for the sword problems, I might just have to make my sword classes extend ItemSword. Currently, they extend Item, but I might just have to change that...
    I'm sorry if you've been waiting for an update, but I really hope you can consider these problems, and that they will be fixed in the next few weeks.

    Hello,
    I don't usually post about installing mods, but this time, I just HAVE to.

    Whenever I try to install both OptiFine and Minecraft Forge, I always get the following near the bottom of the Development Console:

There has been CRITICAL TAMPERING WITH MINECRAFT, it is highly unlikely minecraft will work! STOP NOW, get a clean copy and try again!
    Client> 2013-07-13 19:05:49 [SEVERE] [ForgeModLoader] For your safety, FML will not launch minecraft. You will need to fetch a clean version of the minecraft jar file
    Game ended with bad state (exit code 1)

    However, if I just install Minecraft Forge or just OptiFine, it works as it is meant. But together, no way.

    At first, I realized this is probably some incompatibility with OptiFine and the latest Forge, so I waited until an... official release for OptiFine. The following day, OptiFine Ultra had been released officially. What made me think this would work was:
    compatible with Forge #789

    Great! So I downloaded it, and installed with with the Minecraft Forge Installer. I believe this is Forge #789, since the file's name is "minecraftforge-installer-1.6.2-9.10.0.789.jar" (If this is, for some reason, not Forge #789, tell me)

    So, I used the installer, and put in OptiFine's files. I thought I was finally going to be able to use OptiFine and Forge (which is for Rei's Minimap, in case you are wondering). But unfortunately, I get the same error.

    If anybody, and I mean anybody, knows a possible solution, please tell me!

    Solution Found!
    Someone by the name of ntzrmtthihu77 pointed me towards a post of his that has a 'solution'. It explains how to install OptiFine and Minecraft Forge. If it doesn't work, then that means you did something wrong, as it really does work. You can find that post of his/her's here:

    UPDATE TO THE POST:
    Updated the post to include better 'titles' for each of the sections. The boring old titles with dashes, followed by the section's name, followed by more dashes, has been replaced with a nice image-title, somewhat resembling the in-game menu buttons. Hope you like them!

    PROGRESS:
    As a little something else I would like to say, I'll update the core pack, and begin to work on some of the packs, as soon as Forge has a recommended build for 1.6. Hang tight!

    AS A SORT-OF FINAL NOTE:

    posted a message on [1.5.2 & 1.6.1][Forge][SMP]Alchemy++ - Enhance your brewing expirience! Custom Potion Effects! WOW!
    Awesome; great textures, and I haven't seen many mods that expand Minecraft's alchemy feature. I've never been a person who has really made much potions in survival, but I still find this quite cool. :]

    I can really see this mod growing in the future. Good job!
