I want to add to this, the reason why people want to make longer is because they feel that it may attract more people to play their maps and new mapmakers tend to stick to Vechs' style of mapping which is to only use one base block and try to make more areas at the expense of the quality of their areas since they probably feel that longer maps makes it more fun for people to play it.
This also leads to another little bit of thing I wanna say, I think I've said this before but I think it got ignored, almost all maps nowadays have the same thing, evil and they always say the maps are super difficult. Everyone always say that they are the most evil people in the entire game and make everything super difficult and say that you'll never beat the map, I know Vechs kinda started it with his map series being "Super Hostile™" and now, all I see in almost every single map series is this "You'll never finish the map" and "It's soooo difficult" while they are rarely map series that are meant to be easy throughout.
tl;dr Look at the top of my banner
These are just my two dollars(Get it) on some of the things that have been bugging me since I started CTM maps, I may be completely wrong and everyone may hate me for this but this is my opinion on things.
tambien quiero un video de como hacer que los bloques se destruyan
Ask this in Kamyu's thread but if it's that inactive then
-Delay is the amount of time that has to pass before it spawns again
-Min Spawn Delay is the lowest amount of ticks that needs to pass before spawning a monster
-Max Spawn Delay is the longest amount of time it takes to spawn a mob
--Spawners chooses a certain amount of tick within the Min Spawn Delay and the Max Spawn Delay and the Delay starts to count when the spawner spawns a mob so, it's not really useful in vanilla MC since the Min Spawn Delay is higher than the Delay of the spawner.
-Air is a tag that basically means how long the mob has been falling or something like that, but unless you want something super complex, it's not very important.
-Attack Time, Death Time and Hurt Time isn't very important unless you want mobs unable to hit you or the other way around.
-Dimension I'm not sure what this does
-Persistence Req means that the mob will not despawn even if it is not in a loaded chunk
-PortalCooldown says how long the mob in question has to wait before being able to go to the nether.
So, after some testing, I found something. Apparently, you can increase your base damage(How much damage you do with your fists). That should make hand combat more interesting...

Guys, check this out https://mobile.twitt...540303647027201
In a nutshell, it means that weapons can give you potion effects or something like that when held.
So, after a long mapping hiatus, I've started working on a new area, it's called Crystalline Caverns and there's something I feel... odd about it, do you think you can help me out?
This area also has a special mob to it, I may do a Dragonian style mob spotlight on it.
Also, I've started a mini map named "Crystallized Caverns". I'll post some pics in a couple days.

T.T Why must my names always be so similar, hopefully, your attempt is way better than mine.
On an unrelated note
at this point the Hybran v Witty thing is just lols. xD
Shipping FTW!
We should get back on topic again before the janitor cat comes along. So, has anyone started on any big builds for their maps lately? I started building a Spider Robot inspired by Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge.

You can't just say "Go away" to a hybran, it won't work.

You should call it "MapJam" or "CTMJam" and if all else fails, "StrawberryJam"

I think gold means that it would only be featured once in a map and that would be the only map it shows in.

How can you call them married? They don't have engagement rings.
