    I hope your joking...

Minecraft is simple, and takes place in a very... VERY simple time.

We dont need computers when we have the Minepedia.

How transparent is the steam? I dont want the world to be udderly foggy, because most of us play near large bodies of water.

I can easily see this being abused to skip from night to morning, and remaining on that schedule indefinitely.

Well, the only point of the night is either too:

    1. Hunt mobs.

    2. Craft.

    3. Go AFK.

Most of the people who play, go afk, missing most of the day. Some go craft. Rarely do people hunt.

This a great addition for people who dont want to waste time waiting for the night to pass by.

As well as it would be nice to give a miner that never stops mining, a break.
Maybe you die over time from not getting enough sleep?

Or maybe you get sleepy over time, effecting your speed and efficiency. (Mining is slower over time without sleep, etc.)

It's not another magical circuit. The point of this was so it would be the same as redstone, just placeable on walls. Not many people want to mine really far down just to get a blue dye. Every ore thing has a functional use. (This refers to coal, ores, diamond, redstone, etc.) except for Lapis lazuli. Why!?

    It has a purpose...

    To make BLUE DYE.

Most people do mine down just to get blue dye, its meant for looks, not magic.

I also didn't know you could punch a tree and actually knock it down. Or that dirt could float.

Do you honestly expect a game like this to be lawless? A game that actually makes logical sense? I have never HEARD of a game that makes perfect logic.

Dont expect **** from a game like minecraft.

Now tell me, why does a DYING INGREDIENT need to be converted in another 'magical circuit'... Thing....?

They picked up rocks, sharpened them, and attached them to sticks.

    Howd they sharpen the rocks?

How do you know it's not magical? I didn't know that you could mine stone using a pickaxe made out of wood, but I did it anyway.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lapis_lazuli

Read this, and tell me... Do you see anything 'magical'?

Of course you can mine with a wood pickax... It just takes alot of time...
How do you think the first humans mined stone?

    Hand?!

How about we don't waste the rarest ore in the game that already has a use on a function that could easily be carried out by an already exisiting and working ore?

Lapis lazuli is a status thing, like gold. It's flashy, and no more.

Because placing wires on walls is much better than doing it on the ground, and redstone dust is to common. It's the same reason for why the compass and watch are seperate. Gold was given a use. Shouldn't lapis lazuli have one two?

lapis lazuli is a dying ingredient, it doesn't have any magical properties like redstone.

    Just use redstone torches.
