I might suggest a bit more detailed description as well. I personally NEVER watch videos, and think the screenshot rule is stupid for many mods. But a decent short and then long description are ALWAYS necessary. Not everyone has the required internet to load screenshots for every page all the time.
Your short one is fine, "this is a mod about transformation unnecessary recources [sic] to more necessary"
Personal preference, does not excuse you from the fact that information does exist in a greater amount than the screenshots and text.
so if a video is available, it might be worth looking at if information is scarce.
Information is information, only personal preference dictates how it is presented and consumed.
Do Extractinators require power such as Buildcraft's Minecraft Joules, IC2's Energy Units, Universal Electricity Joules, or Redstone Flux? Can you MAKE them require power via a config option? Do they use another fuel source like coal, or something else?
Currently, no power system is required to get up and going with any of the extractinators.
Personal opinion now: could he require some sort of energy to operate? sure, but not my call and i like the independence of it from some sort of power system.
What precisely do you PUT in an extractionator?
Are the various extractinators limited to certain items?
Do you use cobblestone for all of them?
Only Cobble/Gravel/Netherrack/End Stone, or can I put other things into them like ores, dirt, wood, or obsidian?
Each primary extractinator (cobble, gravel, netherrack, endstone) is limited to accepting ONLY their specific materials that are referenced by their name.
How does one add items to the extractinators for processing? Via right click?
Can items be pumped in with automated item transport?
Hold a stack of an item in your hand that is compatible with the particular extractinator that you are looking at...
Then hold right click...
???
PROFIT!!!
Automation with pipes directly? Unfortunately not right now.
BUT! and I do mean BUT!!!
I have found a way to automate, without having to be AFK.
Thermal Expansion has a machine that is called the Autonomous Activator...
It can have materials piped in and it will right click objects in the world without needing the player.
at that point you only need an item collecting device to pick up whatever the extractinator produces.
Is TOTAL automation possible?
YES!!!
with pipes?
no.
What rough benefit does an advanced extractinator give? Better capacity? Faster operation? Wider range of things to extractionate? Ability to automate? Joining together of all 4 types of extractinator?
The AOE(Advanced Ore Extractinator) has these attributes.
-- All in one Cobblestone/Gravel/Netherrack/Endstone Extractinator.
-- does not require a multiblock casing (craft it, and then go crazy with it)
-- Accepts sandstone to produce sand (ratio seems to be 3 sand for every sandstone)
-- doubles the output of vanilla ores (iron and gold, haven't tested other types yet)
I want to say how much I'm really enjoying your mod!
I finally got the advanced ore extractinator and it is a BEAST!
I am curious though, is the next update going to feature some form of automation, and some sort of gui when clicking on the AOE with an empty hand to show the chances of output for all the blocks it can extract from?
It seems that the EnderIO cables I was trying to hook up the IO block(ender-thermic pump), won't connect to it even though the IO portion works.
And right next to it in a row are MFR and EnderIO machines attached to it. (via remote IO)
(my workaround was using Extra Utilities energy node and tubing and though it visually doesn't connect, power still flows through.)
as for the Openblocks tank...
the moment I put one on top of the Ender-thermic pump, it filled with lava and when i connected it to an IO block in the overworld, it worked.
so for a word of warning for mod interactions... open blocks tanks work with stuff inside(though I thought i remember not having to do that with my MFR machines and their sludge... Hmmm...)
and the Extra Utilities pump + Remote IO require a non-EnderIO connection.
Latest update seems to have broken cross dimensional functionality.
my respective enderthermic pump and the openblocks tank no longer connect cross dimensionally.
visual indications are as follows.
Enderthermic pump no longer receives power, despite IO block turning blue in overworld.
and openblocks tank in overworld no longer connects, the IO block in nether blinks blue, then back to red.
Any ideas?
Side note about the client log: only after i begin a link and then switch dimensions, does a

The MineFactory Reloaded API got updated when skyboy updated the mod to MC1.6.x. The fastest/easiest way to deal with Natura's support for that API is just to remove it, rather than try to update it and then test it.
So are you speaking on behalf of mDiyo in implying support won't be re-added?
I have a darkroom of oreberry bushes being harvested by a MFR harvester, and your mod allows awesome transportation of the items, power, and sludge without messy piping, combined with translocators mod for some simple sorting and I'm never going to live without this mod now.
Side question though, besides the fawning i have for your work, is there a limit to how many things can be linked to an IO block?

Ore Dictionary for Tungsten?
Yes!
*If you have Nether Ores Mod, you can have naturally generating tungsten in the nether to get the AOE sooner.
I agree, better documentation of what can be extractinated and the results would be nice to have.
Side Idea, A lava extractinator, (if a power system becomes a requirement, this one merely uses lava as both fuel and feedstock).

Curiosity aside, you rock! Keep it up!
I'm using the latest for mc1.6.4.

MFR Rednet upgrade.
-enables Rednet cable signals to be transmitted.
Not compatible with Redstone upgrade. At the same time.
Recipe
R = Redstone upgrade
C = Rednet cable
U = Rednet upgrade
[C][ ][ ]
[R][ ][ ] = [U]
[C][ ][ ]

naturally of course. even range boosters to boot.
it worked for a while, but after the latest update from 1.3.0 -> 1.3.1
something stopped working.

Since you can have a Chest follow your around...
Why not a crafting bench?

define "it" please.

Tis a shame that i cant connect multiple chests to one IO block.
Thanks for the quick reply!

Yarrr...
Yer first one be either a bug or yer config is set so they don't go kaboom.
And the second one be no bug, that x-ray magic is exactly what that block be intended to do... Yarrr
