How about an auto farming mod for cows? just like the Roost mod where you put the chickens in the roost and they automatically collect the drops. Maybe one for the cows auto milking or for the sheep auto sheering?
Seconding this one! It's something I thought about while playing with Roost; it could easily be a block with a little cow model inside, and the collector could be a tank that stores milk over time in mB, like the Cow in a Jar from Cooking for Blockheads; it would fill faster if you have a full stack of cows in the nearby cow-roost-whatever-blocks (maybe a stack size of eight, since cows are big?), and perhaps even allow for compatibility with mods like Tiny Moos and Moo Fluids.
It'd definitely make the life of a Harvestcraft user way easier, and a lot better looking.
Disclaimer: I know absolutely nothing about JVM or Java coding or any of that business, so feel free to pretend you're talking to a kid or something.
But anyway! I'm having problems with the GC; my world hangs every time I load a new chunk and according to Optifine's lagometer thingamajig, it's because of Java's GC. Big ol' orange spikes that hit the top of my screen.
But here's the thing: I have no idea how to fix it. I've tried downgrading the amount of RAM I use to 2g, but then the game doesn't have enough memory to load and crashes. At 2.5gb and higher it loads and runs smoothly in already loaded chunks, but has severe block lag when trying to generate new terrain. I can't even play with the visual distance on tiny, it's that bad.
I've tried a lot of different JVM arguments from around the web, but it either didn't work or straight up crashed.
So I come to you fine folk for help! Does anyone have any good JVM arguments for making the GC run smoothly?
For now I'm gonna go mess around with the 2.5gb and try breeding some bees in already loaded chunks and check this in the morning (it's 10 pm here), but man, do I need some help.
To level it give it exp share and have it near the battle or teach it a move via tm.
If you can find a reliable way to get the moves to disappear please let me know how, i have not been able to replicate that bug on my end.
Hmmm. :|a There may be a problem with the exp share in the current version, then; I supposedly got one as a reward from my dex but never received it, I thought it wasn't implemented yet because of it. It wasn't in the creative menu nor JEI either.
As for the move bug, I'll do my best to see if I can find a cause!
This may sound like a stupid question, but how am I supposed to level up a Pokemon with no attack moves? It won't gain exp from battles it takes part in if it's not the one who KO's the opponent, as far as I can tell - that's what's happening to me, and it's what I've read online.
I'm trying to raise a low level Ralts, and it's a little impossible if it only knows Growl. Not to mention how rare candies don't seem to exist, which I can understand if it's to prevent abuse.
As a side note, I'm using the completely updated 1.11 versions from Curseforge.
And a small bug to report, my Rowlet lost all of it's moves after fainting once aside from Tackle. It was level 11, had Growl and Leafage as well.
Well, one could say Cpt. SpaceToaster's build is working in the sense that in most cases, it's playable. o: But all of those sound like great options... if I knew how to code, that's something I'd want to work on and donate to Kovu's progress, but alas, my eyes unfocus with just simple css, lol.
At the very least, this is definitely something to watch, and I'm excited for the future of this mod. :>
I'm not sure this is possible (just looking at coding makes my eyes cross), but do you think it's probable to add an api-less way for light blocks to have color?
Such as when you place a light block, the mod samples the majority color of the block (i.e., glowstone is mostly a gold color) and implements it into the lighting somehow?
That way the hundreds of lighting mods out there would have colored light without every single one needing to plug in an api!
Again, though, I have no idea if someone could even code something like that... I'm just tossing around the idea as something to consider, just in case.
Either way, I'm so glad you've decided to pick up the torch for this. Colored lights in Minecraft are so nice, but the current build people rely on can be too buggy to bother with at times.
Well! I have no idea if this crash was due to my mix of mods or this mod by its lonesome, but the coding kaboodle seems to point towards the crash being thanks to a chicken dying on some highland thorns, so.
Here's the report, crossing my fingers that the spoiler tags will work:

Whoops, I guess I need the advanced features to be able to wear others' animated things.
So that'd be neat, my username's hanamura.
This is a great mod, by the way - I kind of thought it was going to end up laggy and incompatible with other things since mods with websites you need to register for tend to be that way, but it's completely exceeded my expectations. I love the touch of personalization it can add.
I have no idea if this is a bug with the server I'm on or with the Ranch Block, but for some reason it turned all of my Pokemon male? I'd been trying to breed a female Scyther with a male Pinsir, and it said they didn't get along, so I checked - sure enough, my Scyther (and all of my Pokemon in the PC) was suddenly a dude.
Nnnnot sure what to make of this bug LMAO. At the very least, I won't be able to breed anything it looks like.
Hey does anyone know if there is a way to turn off the mob events (windstorm, tsunami, etc). I would prefer not to use them in my world. Btw great job on the mod! Its great.
It's in the mobevents config! .minecraft > config > lycanitesmobs > lycanitesmobs-mobevents.txt
You'll want to find the part that looks like this, and set it to false:
# If false, all mob events will be completely disabled.
B:"Mob Events Enabled"=true
You mentioned wanting better artwork, right? I'm by no means a pixel artist, but I gave it a shot; it's only right since coffee and tea makes up most of my liquid intake during the day. c:
They can be found here for looking at, here to download as a .zip file! (There's a download button up at the top of the window. Man, Google Drive is kind of confusing.)
(This isn't really the place to be discussing this, but -)
I really doubt they'd do that after so many people have spent money to buy the game. That's bad marketing, and will cause people to drop the product; Microsoft is smarter than that.
More likely than not, Microsoft merely bought the brand, while everyone who worked on Minecraft before still works on it.
So nothing major will change. The money from buying the game and merchandise just goes to Microsoft instead of Mojang, now.
Ah my friend, I'm one step ahead of you!
Int config/lycanitesmobs/lycanitesmobs-general.cfg
disaply {
B:"Subspecies Tags"=true
}
I forget to test it though so let me know if it works (both Single and Multiplayer).
Also I'm not sure why it's under 'disaply' looks like a typo somewhere lol so I'll be fixing that too!
It works perfectly in Single! I've yet to play on a server with this mod though, so I wouldn't be able to tell you there.

Hmmm. :|a There may be a problem with the exp share in the current version, then; I supposedly got one as a reward from my dex but never received it, I thought it wasn't implemented yet because of it. It wasn't in the creative menu nor JEI either.

So that'd be neat, my username's hanamura.
This is a great mod, by the way - I kind of thought it was going to end up laggy and incompatible with other things since mods with websites you need to register for tend to be that way, but it's completely exceeded my expectations. I love the touch of personalization it can add.

Nnnnot sure what to make of this bug LMAO. At the very least, I won't be able to breed anything it looks like.

It's in the mobevents config! .minecraft > config > lycanitesmobs > lycanitesmobs-mobevents.txt
You'll want to find the part that looks like this, and set it to false:

It works perfectly in Single! I've yet to play on a server with this mod though, so I wouldn't be able to tell you there.
