posted a message on Adding Aether to Vanilla Minecraft
    Quote from babbaj

No. We already have the end(er)

the end is a sad chewed up and spat out version of Notch's idea for a sky dimension. And while I support the sky dimension, I don't like the aether at all. no support.

posted a message on Introducing "Column Flow"
Many times, I've been in fights or I'm hunting mobs, and then my sword breaks at the worst possible moment and I get stuck trying to punch a wither to death. So what if above every inventory column, there was a grey triangle pointing down that you could click to toggle a new functionality i call column flow. Basically, when you click they grey triangle, it turns green, and then when whatever is in the hotbar breaks/runs out everything shifts down by one square, also, if one item updates (such as drinking a potion or milk, placing water etc.) the item goes back to the top of the column, you could use this in building so you don't need to constantly pause and open you inventory, instead place four stacks of blocks on top of each other and turn on column flow. You could also use rapid fire splash potions or put swords on top of each other so when one breaks, you're not doomed. It seems pretty simple and its optional, and there's already been some inventory additions in 1.5, so what do you guys think?

posted a message on Renewable Endstone
Personally, I think endstone looks really cool. It's one of my favourite blocks. I'd like it if it were renewable, but the end spawns only one island with endstone, and while there is a lot of endstone there, it isn't renewable enough for some of the stuff I want to use it for, plus, most people don't want to go all the way to the end every time they run out so here's an idea. There will be a fluid in the end (because minecraft definitely needs more fluid) it would spawn in pools in the end and would have a texture like the end portal. It has the spread speed and radius of water but causes the user to take damage while they stand in it at suffocation rate. You can also craft it like so:

    oeo
    ebe
    ooo o = obsidian e = endstone b = lava bucket

It would be called end ooze and when it comes in contact with water, it generates end stone. Items are not destroyed in the end ooze. So what do you think?

posted a message on (Climb) Rope! (Better Than Ladders, a Whole new idea)
shouldn't be stacked from the ground in mid air. I think it should be placed on the bottom of other blocks, and it should need a block above it or it breaks. So if its support is broken the whole thing will fall apart.

posted a message on Wither makes things wither
Withering is when a plant begins to die and shrivel up, the wither seems to have the supernatural ability to cause living things to wither. So what if it did the same to plants? The idea is simple really, the wither has a certain radius around it (I'd say five blocks or so) in which all flowers, mushrooms, tall grass, leaves, crops, and any other plantlife I haven't covered is destroyed. Grass and mycellium also turn back into dirt. It would make the wither seem more menacing because it would almost be the bane of all life. What do you think?

posted a message on spectator mode
I support. I find it annoying when players of pvp maps are given the priveledge to spectate and they abuse it. Saying there are plugins for it is like saying there's a mod for it which is against the forum rules.

posted a message on Minecraft villagers
I think there should be two villager textures, a steve one and a squidward one. Then there could be some sort of config file to decide whether to use a steve model and texture or villager model and texture. Obviously the steve skin could be retextured. This would purely be client-side. That way, people can stop getting upset over this.

posted a message on Creative tab for Sort of custom mobs!
I support. I'm really sick of using mcedit to make custom mobs. Especially since sethbling's newer filters are no longer showing up in my filters tab but that's off topic. Great idea, I'd love to see it added.

posted a message on Iron Golem Tactics
Iron golems despite meaning well, usually don't get the job done in terms of protection unless you have a ton which can be costly, plus, they have a nasty habit of getting lost. So to make them more efficient, I propose the ability to give your iron golems defense tactics. When you build an iron golem, (as long as it is yours) you can right click him and a gui comes up labeled "tactics". The available tactics are
-protect (the iron golem attacks anything that hits it or any hostile mobs, this is the default)
-guard (iron golem will attack anyone who breaks blocks)
-berserk (iron golem will attack any hostile mobs or players excluding its creator)
There are also two more seperate settings to apply to the golem about its movement.
-wander (iron golem wanders the area, this is the default)
-stay (iron golem stands guard, if it sees a target described by its tactics, it will attack them and return to its post whether it can see its post or not)
With these few simple settings, players can do all sorts of things with iron golems. What does everyone else think about this idea?

posted a message on Nether Star For Retrieving Lost Items
I have found recently that the nether star isn't anywhere near as useful as it should be considering how difficult it is to get it. Especially since the wither causes so much damage to your world, even more so if you die in the fight. So, here is my idea for the nether star

My idea is an item which is a type of compass called the death compass. It is crafted like this:
    :obsidian: :obsidian: :obsidian:
    :obsidian: :-(o): :obsidian:
:obsidian: :obsidian: :obsidian: where the golden apple is the nether star. This compass functions as the opposite of the normal compass. While the usual compass points to your spawn point, this compass points to the last place you died.
