posted a message on Essentials Kit permissions not working?

Have you given them any other permissions related to kits? They also need essentials.kit

    I hope this helps.

If not, feel free to contact me elsewhere (I don't check here often) if you'd like me to try again.

posted a message on Can I have some Feedback on my Server?

It's on another site, but you may also want to post your server on spigotmc.org under Rate My Server for more feedback from people looking to help out. https://www.spigotmc.org/forums/rate-my-server.66/

I'm assuming you're advertising on some of the Minecraft server lists. A lot of people join servers that were just added, so that can bring in people, if you can make them stay.

Anyway, here's my review, based on my visit (I went to the SMP world, since the only other open one was more for multiple players). These are just my opinions, you should defiantly take into account the opinions of others, and, of course, yourself.

    Spawn:

    - It looks very nice, like you've put a lot of work into it.

    - It would be good, as a player just joining, to have information and such at spawn. You know, rules, plugins, unique or important features, any other important information. (For example, it would be good to know how to make money. After playing for a bit, I see that playtime and Jobs give you money. I may have missed other things) You could also put these at another location with a warp. (On my server, it's /warp info).

    - Shop (I'm counting this as part of spawn):

*I'd make it more clear as to what it was. I was just exploring the spawn area. I wouldn't have guessed that the "Blue Orchid Inn & Tavern" was the main shop.

*I'd also add a warp to the shop, to make it easier to find and get to.

*When you go to the first lower level, if you're not paying attention and you step on the pressure plates, you get nausea. This seems unnecessary in my opinion, but that might be something you want.

*In general, the shop's looks are good.

Minor Errors/Bugs (none of these are major problems, they're just to make it look nicer):

    - With the Server Selector, when you click it to open the menu, it says in chat "Thats not a command". Not a big deal, it still opens the GUI.

    - The message when you type /rules has a spelling error. (becuase, not because).

    Other:

    - The delivery man was kind of odd to have, in my opinion, if the rewards weren't configured yet (the Mystery Crates).

    - I wouldn't advertise what you don't have. I don't know about any sites you've posted on, but in the MOTD, it mentions SMP, Creative, and Factions worlds. Both Creative and Factions are currently unavailable. People may have come on looking for one of those, and leave when they find out that you don't have them.

My Internet connection is coming and going, so I'll have to look more when I can get back on, if you want more feedback. Sorry for all of the negativity, I'm just trying to point out things that would (potentially) help you get players. Overall, it seems like it would be a nice server once more people join.

posted a message on Server Information Help

Personally, when I was looking for Factions servers in the past, I generally looked for mcMMO, ranks (earn ranks in game), and a MobArena. I also tended to avoid servers where you had to pay to own a faction. Not super important, but I've always enjoyed getting Crates as rewards for voting, and the ability to behead other players. I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for, but I hope it helps.

posted a message on Player Activity

With Essentials (any version, I use EssentialsX), you can use the command "/seen Player" to see when someone was last on. I'm not sure if that would help, but you mentioned wanting to remove inactive players.

These are plugins I've found, but I have not tested any of them, so I don't know how well they work.

    https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/playtime.26016/

Use the command ""/playtime Player" to see the total time someone has spent on your server.

    https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/ontime/pages/commands

A lot more options, some of which are irrelevant to this post, such as rewards for ontime. I believe those can be disabled, though (not 100% sure). Use the command "/ontime <player name> {<world name> | [all]}" to see daily, weekly, and total ontime, as well as some other information.

    https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/betterontime.18679/

Use "/bot player" to view their statistics.

    https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/nanotime.23862/

Use "/nanotime Player" to see how long a player has spent on your server.

    I hope this helps. ^.^

posted a message on McMMO won't run

Thank you both very much. I used TNAHosting's McMMO jar file with nitewing76's solution, and it worked.

I'm not sure if you still care since the issue was resolved, but to answer your question, TNAHosting, I got the March 27th release from the plugins section of my MultiCraft panel, which comes from the Bukkit website (https://dev.bukkit.org/projects/mcmmo).
