Hello,
I am new to forge modding and I am trying to make a client side only mod but I need to check if a specific inventory item disappears/appears for it and saving an array of the inventory items and checking if it changed every tick doesn't seem very efficient. Is there a different way to do it without core modding or risking changing a packet when listening to it? If listening to a packet is the best way to do it, is there a good way of doing it? I only found one thread about it on the internet and someone there said the way mentioned there is bad.
I thought about an idea for a mod that will send you the logs of how you got hit/damaged (like the game was sending you in hypixel skywars after you died if you ever dis /toggleskywarsdebug before it got removed) after you die/kill a player/kill a mob/get damaged (configurable)
