Wow, thanks for the replies. I've never really been happy with the ice as it is. So the main issues are in grass and snow, any ideas on how I can rework those? I have an idea to make the grass stand out a bit more, but I don't really know what to do for the snow.

    Hello,

I am creating my first texture pack, it's called Abstract Pixels. Of course it's not yet complete, which is why I need your help. I've kinda hit a creative rut and I need some constructive criticism. Please take a look at these screenshots and let me know what you think and what I can improve upon.

    Thanks!

For the mossy cobble, I would darken the shadows underneath it. This will make the moss stand out more.

It's rare to see such a good new texturepack, especially one with such original ideas!

Hey, I figured out why the diamond animations do not work. Your animation strip "custom_terrain_50" is 32x1534. 1534 is not a multiple of 32 therefore the animation wont work, you need it to be 32x1536. Somehow you must of cut off 2 extra pixels.

So, I've been working on a texture pack of my own recently and I wondered, how did you guys go about making Xaiwaker. I know at first it was off the base of Frenden's pack, but when you made blocks of your own, how did you go about it. Did you work one texture at a time until it was perfect, or did you make the textures and revise them later?

Also, the "Wub" addition was pretty funny.

Hey, I just visited your sever (under the name "fuzzywidely") and while it's good, I noticed some problems. There seemed to be a lot of spam both by the players and by all the plugins installed, also a lot of the players were rude and had awful grammar. I would suggest that you make a whitelist for the sever, and make a thread for the sever so people can sign up to be on it. If someone breaks the rules one too many times, you can just remove them and forget about it. Also, just my personal preference, but I think the plugins were too overwhelming, as I just wanted to build without people killing and raiding my place, again just personal preference. Other than that I think I'll add your sever to my list, and see how it turns out!

EDIT: On a entirely unrelated note, I can't seem to see the diamond animation on the 32x pack. What is it suppose to look like?

    Quote from xaivern

Just finished animating the torches, subtle but worthwhile animations they are :D ! The wheat turned out amazing and all that's left is the porkchops food wise. Expect a big BIG fat update to the 32x version tomorrow :)

Are you planning on doing animations in the 16x pack?

    On a less rant-like note...

It appears as though your iron golem textures are broken.

This is the texture pack that defines Minecraft for me, as a world to build and adventure. The bright colors, steampunk elements, and retro pixelation just give the pack a clean, happy feel. Plus it gets extra points for being inspired by my favorite game of all time, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. I play on a SMP sever and seeing other people's creations brought to life by this pack is just wonderful. Playing Minecraft with any other textures, bar a few, just seems wrong. I can't even play with default textures anymore without cringing! I definitely hope you two continue this pack through future patches with the same determination and skill you both have now.

I love it, but I think that you should work on making the textures more ornate and detailed like you did with the crafting table, ladders, enchantment table, ect rather than making them enlarged versions of the 16x textures. i look forward to when you do the mobs and items!
