You could use Comodo Firewall or something. Although I'm not sure how well it works with Minecraft.
Alright, I'm going to uninstall ZA and try Comodo. I'll see if that helps and report back. :smile.gif:

Yeah. After the first few tries I just downloaded all the files on the page and clicked them all, hopeful. XD

Uninstalled Zone Alarm. Replaced it with Comodo. Ran the exe. Works.
Just got the game today, yay!
I'm able to play it in browser but unfortunately I can't get either of the Windows Minecraft.exe files to open. I receive no error message but I do get that wonderful error sound. :biggrin.gif:
I've uninstalled/reinstalled Java, tried Java 7, restarted the computer several times...gone into my firewall and placed Minecraft as an exception, gone into Zone Alarm and given in permissions, gone into Avira Antivir Personal-Free and haven't been able to find what could be blocking it.
Tried zone alarm in game mode, didn't work.
Turned off Avira, didn't work.
I don't have any minecraft folders on my computer unless I extract the minecraft.exe file but those folders have none of the things that I've found mentioned in the forums(temp files etc)
I ran Combofix, didn't help.
I've also tried downloading/deleting/redownloading/renaming the exe file.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you. :smile.gif:
