    I suggestion for this mod could be some kind of enhanced nether portal, like a pad that when stood on, an aura surounds the air and you are teleported in an awesome fashion!

    i think it would look good but it isn't really useful, is it ?

    I wasn't trying to be serious/menacing/annoying, I was just trying to make a point. I mean yes the joke can be funny, but just use it at the appropriate time. you never know when a seemingly innocent joke may somehow insult another person. When I said that previous remark I was trying to be cautious to the guy, in like how you might be cautious to a friend when they're gonna try something "questionable".

    ok. sry. probably i understud it wrong. so let's make an end of this discussion

    it won't be answered. it doesn't matter how many times you ask for your realese date. the update is finished when azanor has done his work and it' just annoying that you can't get this point.
    if you want to annoy people go elsewhere

    First of all, those aspects won't be obtained in the same fashion next update, due to massive changes in the research system.


    Oh, sorry didn`t think about it.

    Anyway, on from that point, to the Infused ore pick up. There is a simple reason he didn't allow that, because they act as Vis Batteries, and grow into nearby stone if the aura's condition is favorable for it (more vis in the area than the aura node's cap allows it to sustain). Combo this with the crystal shards, and you would have had infinitely growing ores with not that much effort, as well as it acting as a super-battery for nodes if you gathered a lot of them. Literally a 10 by 10 by 10 cube of them (not overly hard to obtain, if you were dedicated or had heavy over-powered nodes) was literally a 10000 vis battery. Even a more reasonable 4 by 4 by 4 cube of them is a whopping 640, a full node almost in it's own right.

    Second, those aspects are supposed to be dangerous, and hard to find. This is for a big reason of actually grinding the research to slow you down. Reliable access to those aspects were meant to be gates to hold you back, to make you have to obtain some goal or another to keep progressing in the research. For example, Mutatio's most reliable source is Netherwarts. This means that to expand into the second tier with any speed, you had to have at least visited a nether fort once. The best access to Animus, a very heavily second tier research aspect, was Soulsand, which, guess what? Required gathering a lot of it, from the Nether. Stuff in the third Tier? Well, you need some good old Wither stars (requiring both Nether fort access, and the actual strength to take down the wither).

    Had he kept using this research system, wana know what I bet the next major barricade woulda been? The ability to farm resources in the End. This is why there was not a shard of those things, because the primal aspects (fire, air, water, earth) were meant to be low down early access stuff. Past that, you needed to go to the Nether for some basic supplies. Further past that, you had to go even deeper, into a Nether-fortress. It was to instill a sense of progression in your worlds.


    Well, your right. But...
    taint is coming back, so you need a possibility to get the taint out of an area. I don`t know how azanor is going to implement this, but i hope he will do so.
    now, if you make an area taint free, you must probable store the taint somewhere (maybe in tanks,...). why couldn`t we store it (in very high tiers) in the shards i suggested, from which it couldn`t escape like from tanks.

    i just wan`t you to remember that this is just an idea. i don`t know how azanor is going to implement the taint exactly.

    i don`t know, if many people agree with this suggestion, or if someone asked for it before, but i think there should be another shard
    At the moment we have six different shards (water, air, fire, earth, vis and dull) the all have aspects on it which are used quite often.
    So there are some more aspects most of the recipes use (malum, mortuus, mutatio, and alienis), especially if you use tt. Well, i thought of another shard (black coloured) which have these aspects on it, they could be called eldritch shards (or something else).

    Also would it be possible to pick up the infused ore blocks with silktouch (just to build with it) ?
