posted a message on Iron Farms Nerfed!
You know what, if you people want to make iron/gold farms in single-player, then please do enjoy yourself. So long as I do not see those things giving others an unfair edge in multiplayer.

It's funny because server owners can make rules to outlaw iron farms so....

Well, considering the amount of lag they create now, that is to be expected. Good point.

Yes, how dare they force you to mine for iron or gold, in a game called MINEcraft!
How dare they prevent us from abusing game mechanics that gives us an unfair advantage over others in multiplayer!
How dare they force us to legitimately obtain minerals, instead of afk-ing for them!

My god, what is wrong with this community?

I watched docm77's video on the nerf, and it seems that it allows you to get multiple stacks of iron quite easily and quickly. That's insane, it's a incredibly cheaty way to get iron or gold. If you want to use that in single player, then knock yourself out! But the problem here is that everything in SSP, carries over to SMP. That means that in highly competitive pvp servers, such as factions/pvp, or anarchy, etc, by the time I've done about an hour of mining iron, some cheaty jerk who uses an iron farm and gets that much in a mere minute or two.

    That's absurd!

btw: you may want to change the title's word "repeal", to "remove". It probably confuses some people.

posted a message on Did the Terrain Become BORING? (UPDATE 6/5/13 - 1.7 is a biome update?)
Ahhh 1.7... Such a letdown... Funny how they promised to fix the torturous repetitive and non-varied terrain in 1.7 by re-doing the entire generator. One that we waited almost a year-and-a-half to be fixed. Then they proceeded to just double the biomes and make a mega-strict temperature system that clumps them together even more.

beta 1.8 may have ruined the terrain as we know it, but 1.7 may have very well made it even worse.
    Darn-it, Mojang!

posted a message on What is your most hated hostile mob in Minecraft?
The player. Clearly it is the most overpowered mob in the game! They can deal up to 13 hearts of damage, more than the wither can deal!

A grassland biome, like plains, except it is very flat. Flat terrain has been severely lacking in minecraft ever since beta 1.8. (aka: the adventure killing update)

I'm surprised nobody has brought up enchanting, and potions. They just break the entire combat system, and make some people virtually unstoppable in pvp. Doesn't get much worse than that!

    Quote from KyoShinda

A lot of mobs would be redundant or would have no good reason to be in the game.

I have one word for you: Bats.

This topic has pretty much served its purpose anyways, as 1.8 is confirmed to not be a mob update.

Pvp-er's, with their OP enchanted god-gear. This is precisely why the enchanting system needs to go!

posted a message on 1.8 possibly a mob update?
Honestly, I they shouldn't add new mobs in 1.8. Yes the game needs new mobs, but when you have a broken game that is bugged all to hell, and has rushed sound effects (I'm looking at you, hrm-ing villagers), it needs to be polished and bug-fixed like there's no tomorrow.

I would say they it is quite pathetic you have these guys shelling out almost nothing content wise each update. Sounds like they need a new team, a new guy or to stop having fun at work and get s''' done

Do you have any idea how much they added over the past year?

Iron golems will only attack hostile mobs, they will never attack villagers. Villagers don't do damage to anything. Maybe the house they were in was so cramped that they were suffocating each other?

If none of that is true for your story, then you must've made this story up.

I only started in beta 1.5 just before 1.6, so sadly I didn't get the chance to experience the old beta terrain. Last month or so I downgraded to beta to see what it was like, and I was blown away by the savanna biome near spawn! Never have I seen such flat terrain!

I wish Mojang would make the terrain unique like that again. Not like they are going to anyways. :(

I like how we still have a totally broken pvp system, and repetitive terrain, but this is the kind of stuff everyone is complaining about.

posted a message on In your opinion, does minecraft have bad graphics?
Minecraft's, choppy graphics are deliberate, because they are meant as a homage to old 16-bit games from the 90's, like doom. If you switch equipment from your hot-bar, and watch Steve's hand, it looks kind of like you're switching weapons in doom. That's the idea.

You may have noticed that I really like doom.
