InGameName - Nuke_Duck Age - 13 Tekkit XP - Plenty of IC2, EE and a little bit of RedPower and ComputerCraft. Played only on one server with friends, but plenty of testing in Single player. Is greifing a good part of minecraft - No, it really annoys me. People spend a lot of their time on builds, and I've been griefed before, so I know it's not fun for the victim. Is nuking servers spawns fun - Obviously not.
I do, it was the most time i have ever been in spp survival, of course I would delete it because I had other unnamed worlds and had no idea what the "-" after the names were.

I'm pretty new to Minecraft. I'm ready to try some texture packs. One that interests me a lot is the John Smith tp. But I'm worried that I will somehow stuff-up my installation of MC if I do something wrong, so here are my questions...

1) First I download MCPatcher, but not Optifine, as they can't coexist peacefully, is that right?
right, but depending on your computer, if you have an average or lower computer qualities then use optifine since its customizable, if you have a great computer quality then use mcpatcher, its quicker and easier, just less customizable but why need it if you can run it on with great quality?
2) Could someone suggest a good place to get the right version of MCPatcher? I'm running MC1.3.2. I've heard about viruses and people getting into trouble because of version incompatibilities between MCP and MC. I've been trying to get the right version at these forums but I just get confused...
3) Is there anything special that I need to besides follow these instructions?

- Download JohnSmith Texture Pack for Minecraft
- Copy and paste the downloaded zip file into a folder named “texturepacks” in Minecraft folder.

People have tried, I have seen several animations on Youtube that portrait him more as an anti-hero which was just great in my opinion, but those are but few in a sea, if not ocean, of many bad one's.
yea, its quite annoying since we've heard it many times. He needs to be a villian not a different species that is only programmed to kill.
As much as I hate to admit it, he is part of Minecraft's past and as such, does earn a respectful place within that history. In all honesty, I would much rather see more creativity about him and have him become more of a Minecraft Anti-Hero rather then the scary entity that he is usually portrait as.

Just so's you know, the game makes no distinction between wild and tame gravel blocks. You can keep dropping them down and digging them up over, and over, and over, to get as much flint as you want.
Which is my main arguement against Herobrine, along the fact that he's been too overdone and is a dead horse that needs to be stop beaten up on. Herobrine is overdone, orverused and still scares kids into not playing Minecraft, hence why I think he should be a forgotten myth but sadly such is not the case and even Mojang is still playing in on the age old joke.
the only thing i disagree on is getting rid of him and letting him die.
yea, one of the things you said was my point (the about scaring so much that they stop playing minecraft). Creepers were created after zombies and they are more popular then zombies. Creepypasta its self is pretty much the problem, like the slenderman, if I was still 9 I would have never fell a sleep.
