    Quote from CallMeCraters
When I previewed the world in creative, I found a mineshaft towards the top left corner of the map and another one located at the bottom right portion of the world (below a forest biome). As for pumpkin patches, I've found a patch of 4 near the desert village on a nearby mountain. I also found a small patch near the top right corner of the world inside a forest biome that borders a jungle. You can also find pumpkin + melon seeds in the mineshafts.

Thanks for the info! Here's a gallery of some screenshots I took this morning if you want to throw any of these up there: http://mcxphotos.com/nic.swaner.54/tu12-seed-1575524070073114809

This sounds promising; I'll have to check this seed out (it'd be awesome if you could return the favor). If you do want someone to post pics, then I'll do that for you while I'm at it!

EDIT: Though, as an aside, I don't consider snow and desert biomes to be ugly. Sand has so many practical applications in traps and redstone and also makes glass. Who doesn't love snowballs?

Also, is there a mineshaft and at least 1 pumpkin patch?

I have to say, I love this seed, best one I've seen as of yet for TU12

Glad you think so. I went through many seeds to find this one.

    Quote from Tamorr

    some actually already do that.....

most others unfortunately are either just in a hurry or impatient to be more elaborate; even if it is a title or tag... I usually go and at least mention the seed name in title, what update, and the primary feature if any. something like that.

The rest needs to be enclosed within the post. I don't think some really understand that, as it is almost like they are trying to promote an ad by putting something in the title just to get a tick or hit on that page. Even if that is not the reason, it just makes it seem like that. I would myself prefer the way you are mentioning so I can at least understand what exactly the seed is about.

Listing a bunch of coords for diamonds and dungeons doesn't say much about a seed, except there is a hand me list of things in it.

For me it is biomes. If that can be mentioned first, then maybe the other stuff would matter. There are just some biomes I just don't like too much of or some I just want a balance of... I don't mind trying out seeds as long as they are clear on what the seed is about. Not what they focus on seems like...><

Amen. And I'm definitely not counting out those who do let others know in their title, I was just wondering if it could be a little more unified.

I can't stand the impatiently or compulsively made threads. I saw one the other day where coordinates to features of the world were posted but the seed was not.

I'm all for mentioning biomes. I think for most people, that is what they are looking for as well.

    SEED: 5911490534147131303

Check out the image for an overview of the world, I've found this world to be quite the crowdpleaser among friends.

    Pro's:
    - 3 Aboveground lava pools.
    - Several of the same biomes located in different areas.
    - All biomes are on this world, even the variations of some biomes.
    - The center of the map is a great place to set up, it's very flat with a jungle, a forest, and a Taiga all converging around a plains biome.
    - A few, but not too many ravines to scar the landscape.
    - 4 pumpkin patches
    - Mushroom Island is always a plus.
    - The Mushroom Island is also relatively flat compared to some of the more mountainous mushroom islands I've seen generated. It also is completely mycelium (on top of course), there's no random spots that are grass or stone.
    - Stronghold, check!

    Con's
    - There is no village on this map. Just a random gravel path, and in another spot, a floating well. :/
    - A lot of this map is taiga, but this can also be a pro for those doing snow builds.

    Details, details:
    - The spawn is in the lower right corner.
    - Mineshaft unconfirmed. If you find one, coordinates would be nice!
    - I have NOT checked the nether. If there is something wrong with it. Don't hesitate to find a new seed.

    Pictures
I'll post some pictures in a few hours of the mushroom island and some of the more impressive features of the world. Just hang tight. Pictures are here!

A view of the mushroom island as seen when approaching it from the Northwest.

The Tundra located on the left/west side of the map as seen looking South towards the Extreme Hills.

An unfrozen lake in the middle of one of the taiga biomes as seen from the west.

A river bisecting a jungle and a taiga biome.

The plains north of the Extreme Hills (I accidentally labeled it 'Forest' on the map).

A gorgeous ravine in the center taiga (if I remember correctly).

This is the plains biome located in the center. It extends further to the left. Ignore my build in the middle of it. ; )

    Peace,
    Nic

posted a message on Universal or Required Tags for Posting Seeds?
I've found browsing for seeds extremely difficult on the MC360 forum and wondered if this forum category would benefit from required tags in the title, or at least universal terms that could be added to the the title to indicate what a seed has while someone is browsing the forum, before they click to head into the thread. Instead of this:

    All snow seed!
    Started by ***********

    best survival island for tu12.
    Started by ***********

TU 12 seed Every Biome but shroom
    Started by ***********

Possibly something like the following, where the update it belongs to, the biomes it has and whether or not the thread has pictures are represented in the title and/or the tags:

    [TU11][NO PICS] All snow seed!
    Tags: TUNDRA TAIGA
    Started by ***********

    [TU12][PICS] best survival island
    Tags: OCEAN ISLAND
    Started by ***********

[TU12][NO PICS] Every Biome but shroom
Tags: SWAMP EXTREME HILLS PLAINS JUNGLE TAIGA... (you get the idea)
    Started by ***********

I know I don't frequently post here, but I felt this was an idea worth bringing up, and got over my usual lurker self to post. :) Would this be a good idea, or no? Thoughts?

posted a message on Builders for City in the Cliffs
Looking for people who don't mind playing on creative for their builds and would be on anywhere during 10:00 AM EST to 4:00 PM EST. I might be on at later times than that, but it's always sketchy. I'm looking to make an ancient city on and in the cliffs of this world I started. There would need to be an agreed upon aesthetic (such as what colors for the buildings), but other than that you'd be free to build as you please. Send me a friend request if interested: Packeranatic

This is the world in question we would be building on:

    Any takers? =)

posted a message on Mob Spawner Blocks & Creative
I'm not interested in if you can spawn a mob spawner block/cage, but I've spent a great deal of time going through seeds to see if they have everything I'll need/want and I found one that seemed to have everything when I went through it on Creative. After going through it an playing on it a bit though I realized that I hadn't seen a blaze spawner in the nether fortress. So my question is, do mob spawners appear in Creative mode? Or am I going to have to find another seed?

To solve the skeleton shooting the arena master why not put a block between you and the skeleton? Creepers would still explode due to proximity and the block wil prevent arrows from hitting the arena master.

posted a message on Endermen Spawner
I'm currently making an endermen spawner (a 4 block high room with no light and 3 block thick walls that only endermen can get through by teleporting outside of the room) however it has been a day since I constructed this room and so far no endermen. I'm wondering if there is something I am not doing that is preventing them from spawning, perhaps?

    Quote from C4_and_Waffles

the easiest way i found to do it is to make a platform above where you want to build underwater. build what you want out of sand. when your done break the platform and let the sand fall. then all you have to do is cover the sand or gravel with glass. remove sand or gravel and then you have a structure built under water.

This a really good idea, sounds more efficient too!

Simple enough question. I've noticed my friends all have different methods for creating underwater structures or bases. I'm looking to make a small town underwater and am trying the second method, even though it requires a little more work.

Good idea to keep these topics contained to one thread. I'd say the one thing you didn't go over was world size. A lot of people aren't clear on why the worlds are the size they are.
