The stock cooler is working well for me. It's pretty silent in the case even when I'm gaming. It does the trick for cooling it as well.

Haha, yeah I tried my best with the cable management, but it still isnt that good. I got that case so I can get a better graphics card that will fit in the NZXT. The three fans are a plus too. The LEDS are weird. Only the top fan has it, but it looks better when the panel is on. The window only shows the lit area, and it shines during the night.

    Hello MCforum!

I just finished tucking the last wires on my new gaming pc that I built a few days ago. Anyone have any suggestions for me? Tips for cable management? I can't upload on the forum right now because I am on mobile currently, so here's the imgur of my PC: http://m.imgur.com/Lg5wvIC PCPartpicker: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vFQKkL

    Thanks!

    Hullo!
After deal hunting and combo searching all over NewEgg, I have finally found a PC that I like! Like it? Hate it? Want me to change something for something better? Please let me know! After adding in a keyboard and several accessories, the total should be around $ 730-40. The mail in rebate should set me back 40 bucks.

My primary goal for this PC is to play anything and everything on high-ultra settings. The games I'm specifically talking about is Planetside 2, Battlefield 4, ARMA 3 etc. etc. Can I run those games over 35 fps?

    Many Thanks!
P.S, my budget is below 750.

Is the USB 2.0 on the motherboard compatible to fit with the 3.0 the case comes with?

I haven't had any personal experience with the FX 6300, but I've read a lot online that it tends to get a little hot with the stock heatsink it comes with. Also another stick of RAM would be good if you have the extra money for it.

P.S - If you didnt notice the little compatibility note at the bottom, here it is.
The Corsair Graphite Series 230T Black ATX Mid Tower Case has front panel USB 3.0 ports, but the Asus M5A78L-M LX PLUS Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard does not have onboard USB 3.0 headers.

Lol, thanks I caught it. I replaced the case with one of the coolermasters I think.

Ah well, I am terrible when it comes to how loud my PC runs, so I decided to use an aftermarket one to quiet it down a bit more. Other than that, I do not know. I don't think any of the parts are powerful to the point where it would need an aftermarket fan but I still have the gnawing feeling that one day the insides will fry (god knows if THAT is true or not). Other than that, just the noise.

Aye Siwmae, and a good day to you!

I am now just finalizing picking out the parts to my first ever from-scratch budget PC, and I need opinions. Here is the link to the PCPartPicker: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/phYt99

Is this build good enough to play games like Far Cry 3, Skyrim, Team Fortress 2, etc. on medium-high with fps ranging from 30-60?

    Much appreciated!

posted a message on Where do you think video games will be in 20 years?
As the title says. I personally think that they won't change as much since we are nearing the point where graphics are true to real life and when that achievement has been rewarded video games won't be changing a lot from my point of view. Sure there will be the rare occasion when a great game with an awesome storyline is released, but what do I know? I am not necessarily the guy who is awesome at predicting stuff. So: thoughts, opinions, answers?

No it is terrible, it has one of the best cpus out there, and one of the worst gpus.

Will not meet any of your requirements. Also, the ram doesn't matter in light recording,

What PC would you suggest for the games I talked about that is in the 500-1250 range?

I know that it might be cheaper to build a pc, but I barely have any time or the hardware knowledge to build one myself. I want to ask if this PC has the ability to maybe play Minecraft w/ shaders, Planetside 2, Battlefield 3/4, Skyrim, any mainstream game. Can it run games in the low, mid, or high range?
    Thanks guys.

*Edit: Also can it record video with ease? Does the RAM support that kind of stuff? I'm only interested a little in becoming a video uploader, but not much.

posted a message on Can my computer run it?
    Tech Specs:
    OS: Windows 7
    Proccessor: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 645 Processor
I have 8192 RAM remaining and
7936 RAM remaining for my OS
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 4200.

I have a fairly crappy PC, and can barely run TF2 above 25 frames with half of the graphical options on low. Can my computer run Minecraft and Terraria? I am looking to put some mods on Minecraft and if my computer is good enough, maybe even a minor shader or something like that. As for Terraria can I have a large sized world without my computer crashing and getting a blue screen? *Edit Also: Steam Filmmaker. SFM Specs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Source_Filmmaker

Sorry, I am a nub when it comes to transforming into the master race, as I have been long pampered by consoles. Plus if anyone is curious it is a HP Pavillion Desktop p7-1037c.

posted a message on How lucky is this? (Story time!)
So me and my friend were just establishing a base on the best seed ever (no deserts, snowy areas whatsoever) that has tons of jungles, plains, and mountains. We establish a base on the 2nd day of playing after getting wood (2 hours of gaming each day) and we create a base on a piece of plain surrounded by a mountain range and we start mining down. I manage to dig to level 15ish and I hit a piece of stone brick (I forgot what they were called). I immediately freaked out and ran up to the surface and got my friend to follow me. We have found a stronghold, yipee!

When my friend followed me into the stronghold we were amazed! The stronghold was huge! But this was no ordinary stronghold! It was a surprise within a surprise! There was an underground ravine (a layer of dirt covered the top I think) right outside the stronghold. I was amazed until creepers started chasing us and we ended up back at our house.

I dont know, I just found this awesome that I found a stronghold that possibly contains an End Portal (I haven't gone down there since we have to prepare our torches, food, and swords) and leads to a maybe diamond heavy underground ravine! Just felt like sharing, lol.

If anyone wants the seed and the coords to the area of our base give a shout!
