    I got it working, thanks to all you nice folks who responded.

    For this particular version, you have to use an Ender Dragon Spawn Egg to get one, then feed it a raw fish, then saddle it.

    You drag the entire zip file into the mods folder.


    I did. Like I said, I followed MC_Drizzle's installation tutorial exactly.

    I'm having a bit of a problem with this mod. Forgive me if this has been answered, I don't really feel like going through 113 pages to look for one.

    I've installed ModLoader, TooManyItems, and this mod. Both ModLoader and TMI work, just not this one. I followed MC_Drizzle's video exactly, and still nothing. Whenever I right click a Dragon egg, it just teleports away. I've used a saddle and just my hand. I've tried it in both creative mode and survival. I've pretty much tried every option, and nothing has worked. I un-zipped the files in the "mods" folder, just a shot in the dark, and nothing.

    What exactly am I missing?

    Oh Jesus Christ, my eyes. This place ****ing exploded with visual diarrhea.

    Anyway, we're back up and running, and everything should be back to normal. The spawn area is a little darker due to a WorldEdit accident, but it'll be fixed soon enough.

    Sorry, it doesn't seem like there's been any change. I haven't received any messages from the staff, but my best guess for an estimate would be by the end of the week. That's no official statement, but it's what I would figure around.

    Okay! We're finally back up, after another server transfer. Our host seems to be growing quickly, and their server demand is getting steeper. We've got a new IP address, and we're ready to go!

    Edit: Okay, so that wasn't exactly true. The server says it's running, but it isn't. Our host is having some real bad luck with the last server transfer to Kansas City, Wisconsin, and errors are popping up everywhere. Murphy's Law is in full effect for them, but they've been generous enough to offer us twice the amount of time for free for how long the downtime will be. Whenever it gets sorted out, we'll be back up for a good long time.

    Massive update- we now have the Nether! I've installed Essentials, but players only have access to the Nether, and then only through a portal. The spawn may or may not have a portal in place, but only one will be allowed at any time. Too many portals looks dumb and sounds extremely annoying.

    Pro-tip: Don't die in the Nether! The exit portal spits you out in the middle of ****ing nowhere!

    I've decided I'm going to keep this map, since a lot of people have been working really hard on their various projects. However, the spawn castle needs to be left alone. A lot of work was put into it, and I'll have to reset the map if it gets messed up too much. I really don't want to do that, but I will if I have to.

    Also, enough with the fly mod ****. Apparently allow-flight=false does nothing, and I'm gonna temp ban people I catch flying.

    I define a temp ban for however long it takes for me to remember to pardon someone. It gets up there.

    posted a message on Lost spawn protection?
    I've set up my server to be protected for 100 blocks at the spawn, but at some point in the past few days it's gone missing. I checked my minecraft.properties, and the spawn protection option was gone. I added "spawn-protection-size=100", but it didn't seem to do anything.

    Also, I've tried getting a recent version of Bukkit, but every time I start it up, I get the end of stream error. I'm sure there's Bukkit options for spawn protection, but I've always used the default option before.
