What I did was use cartograph to generate a surface image of my map
Then I used cartograph to generate only hexid 48(mossy cobblestone ) by having default settings and putting 48 in the "___ only" box
Compare the normal map to the mossy cobblestone only map, find a location nearby that matches up and dig straight down until you hit it
