MegaBlocks are cheaper and have all of the benefits that you listed for LEGO.
Unless this set has over 2000 pieces then it is not worth the 200+ price tag. All small LEGO bricks cost 0.10 cents each directly from LEGO. The fact that they increase the price of them in box sets like this is nuts.

Feb 19, 2015OrpheusOne posted a message on Notch Responds to "Sellout" CriticismThe majority of updates to Minecraft have added very little before 1.7, and even then the majority of those new additions have already been in the game via mods.Posted in: News
Not to mention that you are reading a wiki, that gets it's information from snapshots, something we haven't seen yet. Just because we haven't seen any snapshots doesn't mean they are not working on the game.
People have been saying that the game is dying or the devs are getting lazy ever since 1.0.0. Just because they are not releasing a new version every 2 months doesn't mean the game is dead. -

Sep 12, 2014OrpheusOne posted a message on Microsoft Buying Minecraft? You are highly misinformed or extremely unintelligent.Posted in: News
First thing, Notch approached Microsoft to sell the game. Not the other way around. Notch has also never stated or even implied that he would not sell the company.
Microsoft in particular is not known for good things when it comes to games. The mainstream gaming industry charges $60+ for new games, extra dollars for the DLC's and is generally a pain in the but to deal with. And wasn't it Microsoft with the new Xbox One that almost had a thing where used games would be obsolete? I remember reading something about the controversy over the system as one of their new things would be that you couldn't share games with other people without paying an extra fee, so there would be no more lending games to friends and selling your used game would be useless because whoever bought it would have to pay for the hard copy and the extra fee.
Completely false statements backed up with hearsay.
Microsoft is know for a lot of good things, especially when it comes to gaming. DLC is not something that Microsoft has control over, it is the developers of the games who make the DLC. Furthermore, DLC is not exclusive to Microsofts platform nor did they popularize it. DLC comes from the PC platform when most games would have expansion packs that cost up to $50 each.
Can you imagine if they did something the same to Minecraft? Because I think that they would. I think that they would begin to charge us for each update like a DLC, and maybe even go so far as to require a subscription in order to keep playing, or at the very least like they do with the Xbox systems require you to pay a subscription in order to play online.
They would not. Firstly, this is a 2 billion dollar deal. Microsoft is a company and they would not risk changing a game that is bringing in millions in dollars already.
Why would they implement a subscription? Name one PC game that Microsoft produced that has a subscription based service. You can't because there isn't one. Not to mention that there is no way this could be done with the way the program is currently configured. There is no way that Mojang could change their game to prevent people from playing LAN together without a subscription.
Microsoft supports a lot of Indie developers and helps them with advertising. Games like World of Goo, Toy Soldier series, Iron Brigade, Dust: An Elysian Tail and State of Decay all owe it to Microsoft for their large success on both the Xbox Arcade and later the Steam platform, and there are plenty of other examples than these few. -

I tried 1.7.1 with the new improvements to sound detection and they seem to work fine for me now. It no longer hangs,
The issue I was having with 0.7 and not with 1.6.1 was that it would sometimes fail or stall if the chat was opened.
I have tested 1.7.1 for about 8 hours with chat opened and it has not failed once.
Thanks.

Could we get a download to 0.6.1 again? 0.7 has a very low success rate and tends to stop catching after a few seconds.

Is there a command I need to enter to play the map or is the download messed up? I tried deleting the save and downloading it again but I get the same results.

You're comparing apples and oranges.
DayZ servers were based off of an ARMA II mod. The servers never employed a pay-to-win scheme to the mod and the server never sold any assets or designs that belonged to Bohemia Interactive.
DayZ went standalone so they could charge for their concept.

Nowhere in the Photoshop EULA doesn't it state that you cannot make money from selling pictures edited or painted in their program.
This is also a classic example of a false analogy logical fallacy. There is no way that Minecraft and Photoshop could be compared in this scenario.

I just tested this. Created a world in 1.7.4 and reached a village. Initiated trades with a few of them. Then I logged out and logged in on the snapshot.
The villagers that you have spoke with(opened their menu) will still be the same as the old ones. But any villager you have not spoken with will become the new ones. Meaning babies and cured villagers will be the new ones in an older world.

Villagers, from what I have seen, are now divided into subgroups.
For example the Farmer villiager is now 3 different types. The traditional Farmer (buys wheat), the Fletcher (buys string) and the Shepherd(buys wool).
Every other type of villager has gone through these changes as well it seems. The Black Smith has been split into Armorer and Weapon Smith.
There is a Priest subtype that buys rotten flesh.

Forge hasn't been updated to 1.7.2 yet because they knew that 1.7.3 was coming a few weeks after and wanted to take the time to implement changes.

Bukkit hasn't updated because they are busy in real life and because Minecraft code has changed so they have to do a rewrite of Bukkit and CraftBukkit.

Although I will have to agree with the majority. This seems like an unnecessary, bloated feature that most people will not even bother to use while there is a staggering number of bugs (over 2000), some being from beta, still in the game.

You have added so much more to the mod since then and the new textures are beautiful.

It would work if you are on a 1.5.01 beta server and using a 1.5.01 beta client.
