What if the variant of peat shown here is actually a fungal infection that can seize control of, disform, and mostly encompass a deceased corpse?
It would explain the moving behaviour to a tee; humans tend to socialize, so it gives a base incentive for the would-be Creeper. If you also look carefully at the creeper, notice how there's black on its feet, rather than brown, or a moderately dark green? Those could very well be parts of some shoes that the peat didn't want to cover.
With peat's explosive nature, the evidence that MatPat presented, and the links I've created, I think we've finally arrived on a proper conclusion of what a creeper is made of, and how they function (as well as why they'd "de-spawn" on occasion). - To post a comment, please login.

Much. When I get a grass block to the biome in the spoiler I made above, I'll post my next progress thing then. You'll see my farm then.

Take the gold blocks higher, zombie pigmen are easy to farm. xD
Try this one; I'm only 5 weapons in:
16. Get 27 enchanted weapons

Multiple minecraft days? Alright.

No chickens spawn when I'm at my hostile mob spawner/farm (well over 30 blocks away - can't be seen unless on 'Normal' visibility)

And for those that just want pics, here's the Photobucket album: [Clicky link]
Notes:
1) I cheated to get rid of the block of bedrock. It was always getting in the way, and I had built too much to really do anything with it.
2) I'm tempted to cheat in an enchantment table - that, or build my way to land after all the challenges are done.
3) I have 64 blocks devoted to spawning mobs... ...any tips as to how I can get them to spawn, since they aren't on my end?
You need to make the ice melt. Figure out how to do that, and you're good. Check the first post about that.

Will post a screenshot later today (likely to edit this post). I first want to restart (for the fifth time already) so I can actually get to good building.

Found out the issue, and it's to do with Linux in particular - The archive manager doesn't like to keep things in their directories - and just copies everything into one spot. I'll redo the process, since I know how, now. Instead of extracting with the Archive Manager, drag it from the Archive manager into the place desired. It will copy perfectly, like that.
Sorry about that, (Learned about it while trying to get MCEdit to work) it was a software derp on my end.

Is there something special I should be doing to import it, or a needed mod?
Steps I took:
1) Grab the SkyBlock2.1 zip file from MediaFire (it's 2.0 MB, right?)
2) Open /usr/omio/.minecraft/saves/ (Hereby shortformed as "MC-saves")
3) Copy contents from SkyBlock2.1.zip into MC-saves (I now have a directory in MC-saves called "Skyblock2.1"
4) Start Minecraft
5) Play/Convert the world (It said it must be converted)
