    This is actually very simple, the ticket itself would be exchanged at a station for a custom named item which you would set up before hand so when they ride the track it will detect that specific item and set off the command block you dont actually require a mod for that if you dont want it.

    Well let me explain what I am trying to do and you might know more then I and be able to point me in the right direction. I am wanting to build a medieval roleplay server using as few mods as possible where instead i am trying to accomplish the same basic things using command blocks, now this is going really well and as part of it i've designed certain areas of land where players will be able to build and develop their villages as survival, but to enter or leave this area they've gotta switch to adventure mode to go between then, sort of, land has value, but minecraft doesn't natively have that being infinite and all.


    I'm mostly having issue designing the exit/entry areas to switch their mode.


    Another question i have, is there a way to make certain blocks indestructible on a fairly large scale without using bedrock or barriers using commands/command blocks


    Edit= After looking over a bunch of stuff I have figured out how to manage this using command blocks though, in a much cruder way. I am using 2 command blocks and a button using the following code:


    /tp @a[-126,68,295,1,m=0] -120 68 295

    /gamemode 2 @a[-120,68,295,2,m=0]


    using repeaters the tick after you are teleported your mode is changed at the new location so as to be unavoidable to the system. seems to be the simplist way I can accomplish this.

    I am trying to make a 'gateway' that when a player walks through it, it will switch their gamemode between survival and adventure modes. I just dont want it to effect every player in the map only the one walking through the gate. I am just a little stumped on how to accomplish this.

    actually what he sounds like he is asking for is more on the permissions end of it. because he wants certain classes to have access to certain features based on said class which is a permissions based problem not in the actual load sequence. all the mods would be present but say a miner could only use the mining based blocks and features, that's very doable.

    as for the name of the plugin i am not entirely sure, it's been a while since i've looked at them but asking around the bukkit community should yield some good result to that end. You're looking for a class based permissions plugin and help to configure it to your needs.

    Being 'bluntly realistic' doesn't explain anything to a person who might not have the first clue and they're looking for help or information, it solely comes off as you being rude and discourages them from even wanting to be part of our community because you might be the first impression they get of the type of people here. You really want people to think that the minecraft community cannot be bothered to take the five seconds to type out a decent and polite answer to simple questions or requests?

    It's not impossible, forge is just a mod that modifies base class files, you're acting as if it's entirely impossible to mod without it. it isn't, as far as mcp that's going to take time. At the very least get your facts straight before running off at the mouth and being rude in a public forum. This is the second time i've seen you do it and if i looked over your profile i'd bet it's one of many.

    Ratlor, it will likely take some time before minecraft is decompiled seeing the amount of work done for 1.8.

    Eria8 theres really no reason to be rude.

    FineToast there are bukkit plugins that i have seen that do that by having a ranking system where in being of a certain rank gives you specific abilities, however, in all fairness it's usually better to only allow players you trust into your server if you are going to be using a modpack like feed the beast or bigdig. In which case having simple rules can do the same thing without the need of such a plugin/mod.

    I am currently seeking a customer terrain generator. I am attempting to create an interesting RP server based on islands. I need the terrain gen to spawn semi medium sized islands with cliffy/hilly terrain some forested, some plains styled islands in an endless ocean. The only suitable mod/plugin i found doing this uses bukkit/spigot which until further notice is down due to the DMCA drama.
