Wow, you are quick; I just uploaded that. I *think* that the are getting "toasted" through the thin sides of the block like so:
Perhaps they are passing through the edge due to suffocation mechanics or something. I'm really not entirely sure. It's most likely a "bug" along those lines rather than a realistic feature like lava transferring heat to stone.

This server is shaping up quite well! I'm particularly impressed with the construction being undertaken by IndigoAura and Glendening. It's amazing what can be accomplished in MineCraft with just a few block types. Great work.

Enjoyed creating the server's first real strip-mine. :smile.gif: Feels cool to be in at the start of a fresh (and very very fast) server. And the only rule is no griefing - anything else goes.
