The only time I ever find any wolves is on world creation, once I actualy get a house and some bones I can never find any wolves again. Almost as if they have despawned!! but if you all say they persist Ill take your word on it.
as directed I looked at the wiki about repairing, and it tells me what I wanted to know.
you do get more uses out of tools of you repair them instead of letting them break.
You can deflect the fireballs by hitting them with anything or you can try to shoot them with arrows. They only have 5 hearts, but charging the bow up does make you quite vulnerable.
I'm more interested in knowing how to leave The End without dying. :tongue.gif:
Only illegitimately. If you use TMI or invedit or something of their natures, you can give yourself a portal block to plop down and escape to the nether. Then you can build yourself a nether portal to the overworld.
On topic: I can see someone easily building an enderman-proof dwelling, but to make it enderdragon-proof, I don't know how you would go about that legitly. I imagine bedrock would block it though.
Mushroom biomes are almost always isolated islands in the middle of ocean biomes. They're usually far away from the nearest sizable landmass, but they can be rarely found close to swamps and maybe rainforests.
I think this belongs in the seeds section. Aside from that, I have spawned in the middle of oceans or water in general before, but always near land. There's some cool seed where you spawn in the ocean near a very large mushroom island.
Depends on what you want. Biomes in general are larger now and a few more biomes were added. Swamps are low lying areas filled with trees and vines, dark in color, and extend into shallow water. Oceans are now vast expanses of deep water, with a mushroom island here and there. Terrain is now biome specific, so plains and deserts are relatively flat while mountain biomes are mountainous. You'll also notice that mountains are a lot more interesting now with frequent floating islands and massive caverns cut out of cliff faces. There are also new landforms like ravines and rivers. Overall, I like the new terrain generator much better because of its great variation.
If there was some way to get wood and was more accessible/common, it would be much better. Something like a nearby island with a tree or two would be sufficient.
There are already several mods out that increase or decrease world height/depth as you wish. There's at least one out for 1.9 pre-release right now. As for those of you telling people with low end computers to just get a new computer, that's a silly argument. Not everyone can afford or is willing to pay for a new computer. Life would be so much easier if the solution to everything was to get rich.

Wolves spawn, albeit more rarely than other mobs.

Something tells me that the y and z are switched. Finding a chest in an abandoned mineshaft at level 20 makes more sense.
