Most of us are amazed at all your work. So, Do you think you could release a guide on how to make good texture packs so we could be as great as you? I am horrible at making texturepacks and other art on the computer.
If you're bad at art, I don't think it's possible to read a guide and be good at art.
I hope you realize that, you know, Disethas is a real person who has a life outside making texture packs for a game about blocks. It'll be done when it's done.
I'm pretty picky, it seems. I'm really looking forward to seeing this pack (at least the terrain.png) finished though. I currently use a heavily-modified Xenocontendi -- I've switched out the GUI, the paintings, and some particle effects, and I've recoloured a few blocks to suit my tastes.
That said, I've been using Xeno for a very long time and this pack gets me excited for something different.
Not really sure what the point of this post is. I guess it's a roundabout way of me saying hey, don't worry about the natural glowstone, because I'll just add it in myself in the meantime.
I always find it a nice surprise when texture packs change the colour of netherrack. I dunno if you want to be that daring, but a less saturated charcoal-ish dark blue/purple would look sort of cool. I think the Aardvark pack has something like that.
Also, if I may continue to be pedantic, I would love an alternate glowstone texture that doesn't look like a lantern. It looks strange when you walk into the nether and see a cluster of lanterns growing out of the ceiling.
I really like this pack so far. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
Sorry, I took a closer look. Even so, both the stone brick and the cobblestone look like bricks. I love the actual stone brick texture though. Would you be willing to include that alternate cobblestone texture?
I really like this pack, but I have a pet peeve against cobblestone textures that look like bricks.
6 days, without a post. Not to complain, but is the 1.0 version of this coming out anytime soon? Even though I am not aware of any textures that differ, I'd still like to see an update.
I don't think there are any new textures between 1.9pre4 and 1.0.0. You should be safe using the latest bundle.
It'd be tough for Disethas to update if there's nothing to update; there's nothing in a texture pack that determines whether it works with the current release besides whether or not the textures are all there, thus since there are no missing textures even though Disethas has called this the "1.9 prerelease 4" version of the pack it still works perfectly fine with Minecraft 1.0.0. It's not like, for example, Bukkit. A texture pack doesn't inherently stop working with each Minecraft update.
That was a long-winded way of saying that it's okay to use the latest release of this with the latest release of Minecraft.
As someone who played through the early "all-9-chapters-in-one" version of this map, I must say one thing.
PLAY THESE MAPS.
Easily, and by far, the most fun I have ever had playing Minecraft. The attention to detail and the sheer impressiveness of the setting are both astounding. The storyline is quite good as well, and is gradually revealed as you progress. Erek has done an excellent job working within the constraints of a Minecraft adventure map.
I really like this pack. I started using it as a replacement for moontrain's Lucid Pack (which still isn't updated for 1.3) but you might have yourself a permanent convert.
Hey moontrain, really like the pack. I'm looking forward to seeing it updated for Beta 1.3.
The only thing I don't like (and don't get me wrong, I really like this texture pack) is that the cobblestone looks like bricks and less like, well, cobblestone. maybe I'm just too picky.

I cannot say enough good things about this pack. Glad to see it's still going.
Keep up the amazing work, Disethas. A lot of us appreciate it a bunch. :smile.gif:

Anyway, keep it up. This is a great pack.
