Ok, so with the new update came new sounds. I personally love the new door sound, however some of the other sounds were better off the way they were. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to troll or be a douchebag but I'm just putting my opinion out there and wondering what other people think as well.
I personally don't really like the new "hurt" sound. It seems really weird to me when I'm drowning underwater and my bones are cracking.
The new bow sounds are also depressing. Most people like them, but I miss having a heart attack when I'm exploring a cave and suddenly a loud TWANG comes out of nowhere.
The item breaking sound seems to fulfill my craving for a heart attack though. It gets me everytime - I'm digging a shaft down in the belly of the earth, nice and safe and then LKJGSISKJGLRW and I **** my pants and pass out at the same time. Everytime.
The new nether sounds also make me feel a little sad inside, I miss all of the "cute" (if that's what you can call them) kitten sounds that let you know that despite the innocent sounds, you were in a terrible place. They seemed too add to the atmosphere and make it seem even more frightening.
The endermen seem to have taken (from what I can tell) that part of the game and do an excellent job of it.
Well, those are my thoughts, what do you guys think?
The nether is where I go to sleep actually. You can sleep there during daytime and it will turn to night, which can actually be very useful. Just don't forget to bring your bed :wink.gif:
I've played about 120 hours. I got my minecraft at around the time infdev went to alpha, so I've had it for a long time. I didn't play it too often but now I'm playing it a TON so this number will be super high by the end of the summer.
I would love to join :biggrin.gif: I am curious as to the answer to the questions and regardless of whether I am accepted or not I am going to be pursuing them so it would be cool if I could be accepted so then I could work with others too :biggrin.gif:
I use the default texture pack with a modified glass texture so I can see more and a modified pumpkin texture because I think the faces on the pumpkins looks terrible.
However my favorite non-default type texture pack would have to be painterly simply because you can customize it so much.
