I love the fact that I am "swimming" across water much faster, but when I want to drop in the ocean, lake or whatever water body I'm in, I am sinking super slow. Feels like I'm sinking slowly in mud. Killed me at least once, because to get to a trapdoor I have accessed before below the waves, I got there too slowly and drowned. I drowned because I got stuck trying to get out in time when my bubbles went away. Any chance they will change it back to the previous "sinking" speed?
I have a growing collection of maps, a lot of which I carry with me as I explore, since I get lost very easily.
It would be nice to have a "map book" where all my maps go, and I can access them as I need them. This would reduce the amount of slots my maps are taking up in my inventory.
Lol, I have been working hard to increase my village population, felt good when I saw one kid walking around. I get onto MC tonight, and all of the sudden, villagers are breeding like crazy, and I have 20 children running around. And food scattered all over. Funniest thing I ever saw.
Yes, figured out that the clouds move from East to West, and that confused Sun rises in the North and sets in the South. Just have to keep that in mind when I'm exploring.
Argh, I'm lost on the ocean, again. Thought Sun rose in the east and the clouds went north. But I'm seeing information saying the Sun Rises in the North and clouds drift to the west?
Anyone have any insight? Trying to get back home without committing suicide again. On a happy note, I found the snow biomes, just need to figure out where the heck I am.
I have found that if I make bread, and give them things they want, like seeds, wheat, potatoes and beets, they seem more willing to breed. I just start dropping the above items at the villagers, as much as I can. Seems to calm them down and sometimes breed.
I, too, thought Mushroom Island was safe. Found a mineshaft, happily digging away, dodging falling gravel, etc. Lo, and behold, there are 2 zombies, one creeper, and I think a cave spider, but I only saw it's eyes. Needless to say, I'm not happy having these mobs in an area I thought I was safe!!!! Is that common? Is it because it is a mineshaft? Still fairly new to Minecraft, but am enjoying it a great deal.

They are definitely there. My daughter and I have found several. Our best area for mineshafts is near or in a Mesa biome.

55 here, just really started playing this year, when I broke my ankle. Now, I have a weekly "playdate" with my grandkids in Washington. It's a blast.
