Are you trying to install ModLoader after OptiFine? I've personally never used ModLoader, but this may be the cause of your issue.
With a clean JAR file, first install ModLoader into it and make sure the game runs; afterwards, install OptiFine.

So basically, I finally figured out how to install mods with the new launcher

I installed optifine, which worked fine by making a new folder, renaming the .jar file etc.

At the moment I am having issues installing Risugami's ModLoader for 1.6.2, because whenever I install it, the game just crashes. I have tried 6 times installing it, but it just crashes every time.

Below is a screenshot of the crash report after I installed ModLoader.



I hope somebody out there can solve this problem for me

I'm not really sure, Have you tried downloading MCedit again? (I don't know very much about issues that are relevant to Mac)

I have a different issue, when I have both optifine and X-ray mod installed there is no texture for water

I really want someone to make a banner for the server named 'Masslands'


It would be a great help and It would be used for forum signatures, server toplists etc.
I would prefer it to be made with Photoshop or GIMP but other programs will do. It would need to have the server name (Masslands) and the IP included underneath it (184.164.140.202)

It would be awesome if you could include the words Factions PVP somewhere in it.

ALTERNATIVE:

You could name a website/program that has a good Server banner making tool that would be easy to use. You can include the link to the program in your post.

You say people give Minecraft a 'Bad Name'. It is fairly understandable that people would call Minecraft 'Gay' or 'Low-graphics' at first look. You really have to play it to see its full potential and how fun and enjoyable it is. As they say, you should never judge a book by its cover.

I know a few like the skindex but I really want to know if someone knows one that has a good skin editor tool and a library of both user-submitted skins and site's own skins

I would recommend just building a house close by so you can have access to the villagers or simply setup a house in the village cave
