Hello everyone,
First off I'd like to apologise for the downtime for the past few days. As Shananium correctly stated, data corruption was occurring on the server and therefore data was being lost. Thankfully we store backups of the server to minimise any damage. Despite this, all backups were damaged in one way or another so I had to salvage bits and pieces from each backup and recreate a fully working backup. This took me a long time but I wasn't prepared to let some corrupted data stop me from getting a server which has a loving community back online.
The only data lost was from Sunday, July 12.
Secondly, thank you to Shananium for keeping you all up-to-date on the forums about what was going on. I appreciate that nobody likes being left in the dark about what's going on with a server and I don't want that to become a trend.
Factions has been installed and we're in the process of testing it out to ensure it works to the expectations of our users.
The two new quests created by fearlessmaster, and pumamis and MrQuintus will be made available to everyone for a short-period of time before being limited to specific ranks (which are yet to be determined).
We're hoping to have the server open and ready at some point tomorrow on July 15.
Here are some other changes:
- Guards and Senior Guards will have their own kits.
- Premium users now have access to creating coloured signs.
- Guard armour can no longer be picked up
- Minor cosmetic changes in various areas including the courtyard
- Other minor changes
From July 15 to July 19 premium and enhanced packages will also be reduced in price.
Lastly, I'd like to thank those who expressed concern about my health with staying up for over two days straight with no sleep. I'm sorry if I scared anyone and I promise I will not repeat this again.
Thanks so much to all of you who play on Prison Island and make it an enjoyment to manage. As always we will continue to expand and improve the server. So I'm just giving you a heads up that the server is encountering an issue with one of its plugins and is down because of this. We are working to get things working once more unfortunately I cannot give you a time of when will think things will be back to normal.

Remember when you guys said it wasn't going to be monthly? I find it extremely funny that you guys honestly believe that you haven't angered some of the past player base with some of the things you have done. Lets see first there was the fact that it became clear very quick that you guys needed money so bad that you had to make everyone re-donate to the server. When that blew up in your face you guys thought hmm we could appease them by offering something to them temporarily (not ideal but honestly not your worst plan). Oh then it leaks that Viper wants to do monthly donations that caused one you know what storm so eventually we were told by Stray that you had got Viper to back off of that plan. Then as we approach the release it comes out that past donors get nothing to recognize them for what they did before great idea by the way back off on something that wasn't ideal for everyone but was somewhat of a compromise and go back to something that has no benefit for past donators. Now you go full circle and announce that you are indeed going to do monthly donations, I get it the server needs money to run fine but your failure to recognize that you are angering a most likely large part of the player base with your jumping around when it comes to donations is inexcusable. If you were going to do monthly donations you should have stuck to your guns from the start. So thank you for the misinformation Stray and much of the rest of the staff you did a great job with your botched handling of this. Also lets not forget that you yourself penguii couldn't help but make a post every week saying oh it will be up in a couple days or something.
This used to be a well run server and I was proud to be a member of the community, but now we have gone to this kind of crap where misinformation is spread for weeks trying to convince the player base to return and that everything will be great only to see you turn on that information that was being spread. I don't want this to come out as a total hate post though, because well I am annoyed even a little angry I still think this server can make it work. But saying that things need to be handled differently in the future and well I admit that I have some issues with some of the staff I still respect the hard work that they have put in to bring convicted back to its community, and well I personally am not currently playing on the server if my account is on its most likely to be my sister I'm not ruling out a return in the future.

Guys it doesn't really matter that much that Xgen is mod if he has helped the server in a meaningful way he deserves the spot just let him have it.

I just wanted to let you all know that I have got my head on the staff wall as the server pro loser and I don't plan on letting anyone take it from me.

That would be the most likely answer whether that is really the case or not only hexa can answer. My guess is that is what it is and if that guess is true we need to switch to something better if not then im sure it will be fixed eventually.

They were most likely doing it in the guard training area which means that it would be 100% allowed. Even if they had been doing it in C foyer there isnt really much of anything that he is doing wrong except killing people for doing something he was asking them to do. Its just like the fact that guards will mess around and have punch fights with free friends and that is not going to get them in trouble.
