What happened to SCORPIO? Will there be SCORPIO you ask? The ship what transported many convicted people to Prison Island to face their final journey behind the prison bars. Well, let me share a story about SCORPIO and the Captain of that legendary ship.
One faithful stormy night, it wasn't stormy, it wasn't even night, but all the glory stories starts like that - The captain of SCORPIO, better known as Captain Shananium, was facing faithful challenge in the ocean. He and his ship was in trouble.. deep deep trouble! No one could image the fight and struggle to keep this ship on course. The fight between the ship and it's captain could be one of the most epic in Prison Island history and it was hours and hours long! Sadly.. Captain Shananium and his ship lost that fight and ship ended crashing land of prison Island, collapsing prison walls and giving all the prisoners free route to escape. Cause of this horrible accident and fight behind the scenes belongs to Koskenkorva Viina, (also known simply as Koskenkorva, or Kossu). It is the most common clear spirit drink (38%) in Finland, produced by Altia in the Koskenkorva distillery in Ilmajoki and bottled in Rajamäki. Shananium just could not handle these % at ocean and basically wasn't capable to guide ship safety to prison island. This was sad day for SCORPIO and sad day for Prison Island.

I feel that the lag is extreme and that it seriously needs to be fixed ASAP. The second issue I have is that Donor has become extremely overpriced, and I'm saying this as someone who has given $150 to the old Convicted as donations from myself and others. I understand that the server needs money to survive, however, I find it absurd that the price has gone from $40 lifetime to $35 every three months for the same perks. It needs to be remembered that the vast majority of the players are teenagers without jobs, many of which cannot legally work at their age, and that the monthly payments will keep several players from donating. I believe that it would be more reasonable to have additional sethomes and sign colors available at a set price for all sethomes and colors, and have it last forever at a cost of $15 for the sethomes and $10 for the colors. I also think that the Donor Block, name color and tag perks should be exclusively placed into one bundle and sold for $10 for three months, coming out to $40 each year, meaning that the server will be able to collect new income quarterly and have the new model become profitable over the old model in a year, helping deter a cash-grab scheme, which it honestly feels the server has devolved into at this point. At the very least, if Donor will remain so extremely overpriced, the quality of the hosting needs to improve tremendously.

We are still around and working on the server. I will do my best to get you guys some new screenshots. As we are a small team balancing life and working on the server has obviously been a struggle for us, but we still want to get the server open and provide to you a enjoyable and fun experience.

I promise we are still working!!!! We have made some good progress recently and are approaching a point where we can start to get ready to announce an opening date. I cannot wait to see all of you on the server when we finally open.

Sorry about the recent lack of communication as to what has been going on with the server. We are still in development but many of us have run into the issue of time lately and once again have been slowed down as a result. We are still pacing towards the private goal that we set for ourselves and hopefully we can achieve it and announce it to all of you soon. I will try and get you guys some screen shots at some point in the near future.

Yes there will be guards again we have not gotten into a discussion on the specifics of armor and weapons they will be given but it is likely they will receive some sort of enchanted chain mail armor.
The server originally went down so that we could revamp it because we were no longer pleased with the product we were putting out and we knew we could do better for our players. This revamp has taken longer than expected because much of the staff has been pulled away at times for things like work and school. Work has been going really well recently and we hope to have more info soon. The screen shots above should give you some sort of idea as to what we have done.
I do not remember what the player base was on the old server but we are hoping that this revamp brings in more people and helps keep them entertained with some of the changes we have made.

How Prison Island Finances itself!

Hello everyone I'm glad to see you all engaged on the forums still and wanting to see the server re-open again. We are still planning to re-open in the future and are currently working towards this goal. This process has been slow and I'm sure frustrating for you but the Staff and I have very busy schedules whether it is work, school, sports or anything of the sort and have not been able to dedicate the time we were hoping. Recently we have been working at getting more involved again in a way that works toward the goal of opening the server.
One thing we are planning to add to the server is new features that should hopefully improve your playing experience and get you to stay engaged on the server for the long run. We would love to hear your ideas as to what could be added that you would enjoy, there is no guarantee that we will use these ideas but if we do you will receive credit for the idea.
Some of the current changes that we have made are as follows:
1. We decided to make D block PVP free. This is so that new players are not killed by older players and quit before they really get the chance to experience the server because they have no real way to defend themselves.
2. We have decided to add a central foyer that will be like old D foyer. PVP Changes to the center etc.
3. We will have 5 blocks all on connected to the center foyer and on their own islands (Prison Island).
We will try and keep you informed as to what is happening with the server with future updates. Thank you for bearing with us through this long rebuild and we hope to see you all on the server in the future when we open.
