If you want I could show you how to convert that to an AppleScript Application so you can add drag and drop support, or simply make it fit better into the standard OS work flow.
MCInstallerMac is a simple utility for Mac OSX to install mod files into Minecraft.
To use, select all of the files a modder has distributed that are intended to be placed directly into minecraft.jar and drop them onto the application icon. More details are available in the readme. This application will not do the entire installation process for you, so make sure you understand each mod's instructions—MCInstallerMac only places files into minecraft.jar.
This application is heavily based off of ModInstaller by forum user xJayrJohnson. His tool is very well done, but it is no longer actively supported. Also, this one is drag-and-drop!
If my application isn't working, try:
Re-downloading Minecraft's files (forcing an update)
Make sure you are trying to install the files that are meant to be inserted into minecraft.jar. NOT the folder containing them
A. Player Name (this will be used in the server whitelist)
Noriak B. Why do you want to join?
I am really impressed by the this server's features and the I would like to participate in Pvp. C. Will you survive your first night?
I think I will. D. What's your least favorite way to die?
Being killed by lava. >.<
A. Noriak
B. This server seems excellently made and I would like to partake in killing people on its majestic terrain.
C. Very possibly.
D. Lava that I did not see until it was too late.
I was bored. This is user Honeydew's (of the brilliant video series youtube.com/bluexephos) skin with the colors changed around. The shape of the pixels is credited to him. Yes, it's really quite crazy.
This is really quite well done, and it would add another fun aspect of the game without hurting anything at all.
Modding is great, but I really think that this should be added into the real game more than most suggestions.
