D: im down to 1 heart and i just found a skeleton spawner. Sealed it up instantly. I think Ima try to kill it....Wish me luck. Also....its kinda hard to make picks when i keep forgetting to replant trees down here. But i never run out of Cobblestone and Dirt =P

I used your method and it helped a lot. But when i checked it with paint.net, all the dungeons where 2 or three islands away. I got on a boat and went to the closest island. It was a 10 minute ride D=. And when i got there, there were no caves or anything for 40 blocks down. I ran out of picks and had to resurface for sticks. I dont think im gonna worry about dungeons anymore after this

Why would the spawn point only be on sand? That sounds kinda weird. Out of all the worlds i have started i only spawned on sand once.

I made a world where as soon as i started i made me some picks and started digging straight down. I kept going in a straight line until i got to the unbreakable ore. Then I carved out a little dwelling space. I eventually found an underground cave and explored. I found a lot of resources and things to use. This was pretty challenging considering there was no food at the bottom(center) of my world. Also, if i died, i would have no way to get back to my dwelling because the fall would kill me. I could just dig down in another area near my first spot but wheres the fun in that.
I have been playing this world for about 3 days and have only 4 hearts left. Its been fun
