Use furnaces to hide your most valuable items. X-ray doesn't usually look for furnaces, and most players won't bother checking there. Storage minecarts might also work for X-ray beating, though I haven't actually tried it. Also, hoppers.
Why should you join?: I've been looking for a server to join, preferably vanilla, and this is the first one I saw that was casual enough for me. As for why me in particular, I'm pretty good with redstone, I can landscape, and I can do interior decoration.
Would love to see this in the vanilla game. I've been using Optifine's texture rotator, and that already breaks up a lot of the linear patterns- this would be even better.
The Nether's okay as a resource-harvesting place, but that's all it is. A shame, too, because there's a lot they can do with it. I'd love to see biomes in the nether, like maybe a mushroom forest or giant pillars of lava.
I had a large book report due, lost my copy of the book, then fell asleep, then realized it was due today, then realized English was my first class and 2 hours away. And I still somehow got an A.
I'd personally like a greater challenge with survival, so that mobs remain a challenge past the first few in-game days. Right now, it feels like once you have iron armor, you're practically invincible to anything but lava and fall damage. More generated structures would be great too, but ones more like the stronghold and less like the temples- once you've seen (and looted) one temple, you've seen and looted them all. Strongholds, on the other hand, are much more dynamic and interesting. Also, we have a 256 block height limit- can we use it for generation? I'd like to see the sea level at 128 and have twice the room both above and below for massive room for exploration. More biomes and larger trees in general would be awesome, and more enchantments and potions would also be welcome.

I dislike them both for their model (just use Steves- they're cooler and more Minecraftian than caveman squidwards) and that they are taking development time away from adding new environmental features and other mobs. Plus, their houses are disgusting, in my opinion.
